Football Crazy!

Hi there,
Football Crazy, that's just the perfect title for this card and the little lad I gave it too, he truly is Football Crazy! I used the Hexagon punch to make this cool football background and added a Blue Ribbon rosette in his favourite team colour (Southampton).
Do you like my new little house I have to take pictures in btw? I picked it up when we went to London for the day last month ;-)
I heat embossed with Gold Powder the birthday sentiment in the centre, the Heat Tool is actually on offer this week only as part of the Weekly Deals offer
can't forget to add ribbon can we? Just "Man Style" with staples ;-)
and inside I added a stamped off version of the rosette to finish
OK, that's it from me for now, I'l be back tomorrow though with more!
Just before you go please don't forget the new

Football Monster Hugs!

Hi there,
I have been playing with my Monster Hugs this week and so have 3 cards to share with you over the next few days! Finally, I hear ;-) and I'm going to start with a Football (soccer) version today.
Now, these are meant for small gift giving and would make fab party favours, table presents or why not pop one between pass the parcel layers? So many uses but alas there are no birthdays coming along in our house soon so I decided to add these little cuties to a card :-)
I stamped the football onto a 10.5 square Garden Green card using versamark and added a sentiment from Blue Ribbon layered with Champagne glimmer paper (all links to products are at the end of this post) to make this....
I wanted to make the football 3d so I used lots of punches for this but if you don't have them you could simply stamp out 3 or 4 and stack them in his arms.
For mine I stamped the ball 4 times with staz on and punched with the 1+1/4", 1", 3/4" and 1/2" circle punches, layering each with dimensionals, et voilĂ !
these little monsters have a note on the back and this cute butt too! I wanted to see this on this card so I punched out an XL Oval for this window ;-) Cute huh??
OK, I will be back tomorrow with another Monster hugs card.
Thanks for looking today!

Blue Ribbon birthday girl

Hello there!
I'm back from my weekend away with hubby to visit Jules and celebrate with her for her 40th birthday!
We had a fantastic weekend and the weather was simply amazing, we visited all around the area and had a generally lovely time.
So, this is the second card I made for Ross and Evan (Julies sons) to give to Jules.
I used a pretty combo of Pink Pirouette and Pool Party with the Blue Ribbon rosette..
Plenty of layering going on for this card ;-)
this white organza ribbon makes lovely bows and I added a giant rhinestone in the centre too
and inside I stamped the images off onto scrap paper giving a much paler image
OK, I have much to complete today (as usual!) so will be off.
I will definitely be back tomorrow with one of the (very many) cards I have to share with you!

Blue Ribbon

Hello there,
I'm a bit late today as we have been out suit shopping for Josh's prom!!! (in a month or so) and some interviews (some this week and next) Gee, it was making me feel r-e-a-l-l-y old!!!
So anyway I have a card today we made at class a while ago. I love this Blue Ribbon set, and it's fab for both boys and girls too :-) I really want to make a girly version this week too.. I really need more hours each day too ....
For this one we used Midnight Muse with Summer Starfruit and a touch of linen thread too..
and the rosette sections fits into our punches too-- so of course we layered them up :-D
Thanks for stopping by today, I'm off to get ready for tomorrows class!
Back soon with more cards :-D

18th birthday with Stampin' Up's Blue Ribbon and World's Greatest stamp sets

Hello there,
I was recently asked by a friend to make a card for her son's 18th birthday and as I had just got my hands on this cool Blue Ribbon stamp set I went with it, nothing like new stash to inspire huh?
Anyway, I decided to use the papers designed to go with this set (World Spectacular) I was really pleased with how it came out, simple but stylish, a perfect man's card...
I stamped each layer of the rosette onto crumb cake card, punching out the top scallop circle and adding a red centre, layering them all up with dimensionals. The '18' was die cut using the (retired) Timeless Type dies, I also stamped them with the congratulations stamp designed for the tails.
I used my trusty Stamp-a-Ma-jig to position this sentiment as I only had just 6"x6" piece of this paper so couldn't afford any mistakes!
I also added a stamped off image inside to tie it in
and an arty angle to finish, plenty of depth to this card, just how I like it ;-)
OK, I'm off as I have lots of card ideas buzzing round today!!
Back soon with more :-))))
