Unicorn Frappuccino and Summer Dreams

Hello!
How about something today to encourage summer to hurry the heck up! I have to confess to making this card months ago but (sadly) it kept getting bumped for something else *hangs head*
But, I still love it so I am going to share it anyway and hope that it inspires the sun!
I sponged Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise ink onto shimmer card before die cutting with the coffee cup framelits to make the frappuccino cup.
I splattered ink to make the whip topping and added a vellum cup cover on a watercoloured wash background.
These Unicorn Frappuccino first came out when we were in California (in Monterey) last year on holiday so this card reminds me of the awesome time we had there :-D
I do hope we get to go back again one day...
Ok, that's all from me for today, I hope today's card reminded you of sunnier times :-)
Thanks for looking today

Coffee Cup Mini Gift Bag with Video Tutorial

Hello there,
I knew these coffee cups dies would make awesome little gift bags as soon as I saw them in the new catalogue! You may have seen my first make on Instagram the other day :-) What I didn't share there was the larger one too, but I did promise a video tutorial to go with it and today I have that, for both sizes :-)
This small version was my first design and how cool, it worked perfectly, first time!
This smallest bag easily fits a couple of individual chocolates or sweets in.
How adorable would these be for the Christmas dinner table?? Just change the colours and papers to suit!! I'm definitely going to do that! Anyway, all of the cups today use the Delightful Daisy DSP, in case you were wondering ;-)
And so I went on to make a bigger sized one with the larger dies in the pack...
 I decided to make these a bit deeper too, so they fit a fun sized chocolate bar in easily. I think they would be great for birthday favours too... Oh, so many uses!!
OK, so here's the video for you :-)
**Please note: The measurements are not transferable between the cups. The bases of the cups are slightly different so please watch the part of the video for the cup size you want to make :-)**
And for those who prefer written measurements ;-)
Small Cup: 12.3cm x 3cm or 1.5" x 4+13/16"
 Long Side: score at 4.5cm and 7.8cm or 1+3/4" and 3+1/16"
Short Side: score at 0.5cm or 1/4" on both sides.
Handle: 1.5cm x 11cm or 5/8" x 4+3/8"
~~~
Large Cup: 15.1cm x 4cm or 5+7/8" x 1+3/4"
Long Side: score at 6cm and 9.1cm or 2+3/8" and 3+9/16"
Short Side: score at 0.5cm or 1/4" on both sides
Well, that's all from me for today. I do hope you have a go at making these. I loved them and hope you do too?
Thanks for looking today!
Christmas in July and a Card!
Hello there,
I have to pop on here and let you know all about the fab joining promotion running this July! I do have a card too so please do stick with me for a few minutes ;-)
So, if you have a long wish list from the current catalogue have you considered joining SU? You can choose to be a career demo and do classes and workshops or just a hobby demo and join for the discount and early release products...
For £99 you get to choose £130 worth of products and in addition to this, in July, you will get a "Christmas in July" bonus bundle to include:
Two, yes two, "D" blocks (love SU! acrylic blocks with their smooth edges and grooved sides for easy holding), Grid Paper (I always use this), Snips (the sharpest scissors and they come with a little cover so you can take them out to crop etc.), a Bone Folder (perfect for scoring and smoothing), a Snail Adhesive (to get you up and running quickly - see what I did there ;-)) and of course the Carols of Christmas stamp set! The total value for this is £65. All. For. Free! This is such a great offer that I wish I was joining up right now!
Also, there is a matching framelits set to accompany the stamp set that you can choose to order in your starter kit if you'd like? Drop me a message and I can give you the item number for this and answer any questions you may have about signing up :-)
 Right, so I did promise a card too! And I have one today made using the Coffee Cafe bundle. We made this at team training last week and I chose a Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo and Crumb Cake colourway for a fresh, modern look, what do you think.....
 I did very little stamping on this card, mostly just using the dies for a clean and simple effect.
Notice the cute, scalloped border? That's from the Seasonal Layers dies (also available as a bundle with the matching stamp set).
Both the coffee cup sleeve and the little strip of paper are from the Coffee Break DSP pack.
 And to finish I added a few of the little hearts from the stamp set using versamark for a pale, tone on tone look.
Well, that's me done for today, I'm not at work tonight so I'm hoping to spend a few hours in the craft room this evening ;-) I hope you get to make something fun too!
Coffee Cafe by Stampin' Up! for a Masculine Card.
Hi there,
Todays card is the one I made for hubby from the kids for Fathers Day (I'll also share the ones I made for our Dad's soon too).
This set was one of those that went on my "must have, now" list from the new catalogue ;-) We do like to go out for a coffee (and cake) so I figured this would be perfect for Father's Day....
 I die cut the cup from thick white card and stamped the heart (from the set) all over to decorate, masking the edges with a post it note so it didn't go over the lines, then I added a die cut lid and sleeve. I love that the sleeve die also embosses as it cuts.
I love navy and mustard together.
 Obviously this card was for Fathers Day but I think you could easily swap out the sentiment to make a birthday card (or any other greeting) :-)
So, I hope your day goes well, we are off to visit college for the middle child today! Should be fun!
Happy stampin'
