Treat Bags with All The Good Things toppers!

Hello,
Today I have a cute little gift idea for you! I like to make these as the perfect little treat for a birthday tea table or just to gift to work colleagues or even just to say thanks for visiting! I used the lovely small Koi fish stamp from the "All The Good Things" stamp set. This is a 'distinktive' rubber stamp set, meaning you get this beautiful colour variation on the image by simply inking in the usual way! It's so pretty and easy to do too!
TIP 1: If you are having trouble getting a good image with a distinktive stamp (or indeed any other detailed stamp) try pressing the ink down into your ink pad with a teaspoon or bone folder as too much ink can make the image blotchy. Also this way the ink is depressed into the pad and not wasted, too.
I used clear card bags (usually used for protecting your cards) which I simply trimmed down to make them a bit shorter before adding a few yummy treats and tied together with some Fresh Fig cotton ribbon (retired) but you could easily use the mini ruffled ribbon in Fresh Fig instead ;-)
 I added these stamped and punch toppers with double sided tape but if you have trouble getting the tape to stick to your clear bags you could...
TIP 2: staple the gold glimmer paper to the cello bag before filling and tying then add the stamped topper with a dimensional.
TIP 3: I also rolled the plain circle in the Fresh Fig ink pad to make it pop on the gold glimmer paper! This is really great idea for if you don't have that 'in between punch' or you simply don't want to add an extra layer ensuring you can still see plenty of the gold glimmer, like here.
So, that's all from me for today. I'm working this morning and now we have found ourselves with a load of jobs to get finished today and tomorrow morning ;-)
I hope to craft tomorrow evening and I do hope you get time this weekend to do what you love too!
Thanks so much for looking today, I really appreciate that you keep visiting x

Seasonal Chums and Treat Tubes for a Happy Halloween!

Hello there,
Today is the monthly hop with the Jem's and I'm finally at home at the beginning of the month so I can join in the fun again :-)
The theme for this months hop is Trick or Treat - a personal favourite as I really LOVE Halloween! And so I have a fun project using the super sweet Treat Tubes with Seasonal Chums plus I've used the Labels to Love stamps on the outer gift bag too! Let's start with the bag all finished and ready to gift...
 Inside I have added a Treat Tube filled with millions sweets adding a Seasonal Chums tag with some bakers twine (at the time of writing this post, this twine is still available in the clearance rack for just £2.20 for two rolls! Go, quickly!)
So, I stamped this cute pumpkin image onto pumpkin pie card thinking 'this'll be quick' before realising they looked a bit well, meh! So, I very loosely added a little colour with ink pads and an aqua painter. As I make a lot of halloween gifts to give out (at least 100) it's probably a good thing I've started nice and early!
 OK, so I wanted to add something to the outside of the bag that wouldn't fall off and this is what I came up with...
1) Punch a piece of DSP** using the everyday label punch.
2) Staple the punched paper to the clear cello bag.
3) Stamp the Halloween image from Labels of Love stamps, in black ink and punch, again using the everyday label punch.
4) Add the stamped and punched image to the punched paper layer using strong tape (tear and tape or Fast Fuse*** would work well)
~~~
**TIP: This is Halloween Night DSP from last year and in the clearance rack for £4.70 right now or you can use the fresh new Halloween paper Spooky Night. I've added both links at the end of the post ;-)
***Fast fuse is on offer - buy the Fast Fuse get TWO free refills! But only 'till Tuesday 10/10/2017
I've also wrapped a little chocolate bar (Freddo) with more DSP to pop in the bag.
And here is some of the prep I have started for the big day already! But I have to stop and make a card for Zacks birthday which is this week too :-)
Well, I hope you have enjoyed todays makes, I'll be sure to share the whole lot when they're completed, on Instagram so I hope you follow me there?!
Next up is Sarah who, I'm sure, will have a real treat for you too!
Thanks so much for looking today :-)
Using the Popcorn Box for Gift Giving for Christmas (or Birthdays)
Hi there,
Todays project is perfect for those difficult to buy for folks in your life. I mean if they don't want SU! for Christmas unfriend them! he he, I mean this project might work instead!
I have a couple of teens here and they all like to visit the cinema so I purchased a gift voucher but I wanted to make it look a bit more special, so I turned to the brilliant Popcorn Box Die to make this...
I die cut the box and added a gold glimmer paper reindeer to the front after adding a black bakers twine bow-tie.
 I have filled the box with sweets and popped in a cinema gift voucher.
Sweet treats and ticket money all ready to go straight out - just choose a film!
I then popped the whole thing in a cello bag tied with gold bakers twine and added a tag from the tin of tags kit.
Feel free to Pin this idea for when you are stuck for gift ideas!
 I'd love to receive this for christmas, what about you?
