Welcome to the team :-)

Hello there,
I hope you are all well this week? I have had a busy few days with lots of  lovely visits from friends and some of the kids friends too. I love having the house full especially while the school holidays are still here and we have no real time constraints during the day. We are also trying to make the most of the warm weather while it lasts round here too ;-)
Anyway, I have a card and gift set to share with you today before I get some more shh! *Christmas* card making done!
So, I recently had a new team member join the Southern Belles and I sent her this little card, notepad and a selection of ribbon to welcome her to the team ..
A closer look at the card, I used the very lovely Gingham Garden DSP (which is on the 4 for 3 offer this month!)
a close up of the bottle cap filled with matching paper and topped with crystal effects, sprinkled with dazzling diamonds to finish,
the sentiment is from "Happy Day" and was stamped onto a strip of the same paper and added as a banner, I used my marker around the edges to make it pop and added the flowers at each end from the boho blossoms punch
I covered a notebook in the same paper

and highlighted some of the flowers with punched out circles, buttons and giant rhinestones to decorate
Well, that's all for today, if you are interested in finding out more about joining Stampin' Up! with me then please see HERE or email me for a chat or with any questions you may have :-)

Whitewashed Wildflower Meadows Card

Hello there,
Last card from the Wildflower Meadows classes for you today.
I love the whitewashed technique (not sure if it's called that? Just me then huh? ;-))
We stamped using White Craft Ink onto crumb Cake with a base of Calypso Coral,
So, once you have stamped in the white, leave it to dry (or blast with a heat gun if you're in a hurry) and colour the image using your ink pads and a blender pen, simples!
I had a little bit of retired coral ribbon left so went with that to decorate but I wanted to keep it simple to show off the beautiful stamp ;-)
OK, that's all for today.
Back soon with more cards!

Watercolour Effect Wildflower Meadows Card

Helloo there,
I have the second card from my Wildflower Meadow class. This set proved to be very popular with the ladies as they played with it :-))))
For this version we inked teh stamp using markers then spritzed it with water to give this pretty effect.
The colours were Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, Wisteria Wonder with a touch of Elegant Eggplant and Limeade for the leaves. We stamped it onto Naturals White card as it's a bit thicker and also has that mottled look (click on the picture to enlarge)
I love the look that spritzing gives, and the fact that every card turned out differently depending on how much water the ladies added ;-)
a bit more Label Love with linen thread as this reminded me of being in the garden I liked the idea that the linen thread looked like garden twine??
Right, that's me for today,
Back tomorrow with the last card form this class.

Hello there,
I am going to share my Wildflower Meadow class with you over the next three days starting with this double embossed version!
We started by inking with Versamark and heat embossing with clear powder, we then ran the card front through the Big Shot using the matching embossing folder.
The colours are Crisp Cantaloupe and Coastal Cabana..

You can see the shine of the heat embossing here too
and a pretty bow finishes this card off

Viola's Lace Thanks

Hello there,
I'm back today with a quick Thank-you card I made fro my sister and her other half for looking after my kidlings when DH and I went to Yorkshire for Julie's birthday last month.
As you know I *heart* the Viola's Lace wheel stamp and I decided to go all out and stamp the whole card front with it for this card!
I used Wisteria Wonder and Smoky Slate for the colours...
 a stitched ribbon bow detail
and a simple layered sentiment complete this quick card
Super quick post to match the card today!
A quick reminder about classes

Using Summer Silhouettes by Stampin' Up!

Hello there
It was my friends special day a few weeks ago and I wanted to share the card I made for her with you today. Unfortunately this DSP is retired now (Tea for Two) but the new Afternoon Picnic paper is the same pattern but in a new colourway! Yay! Especially as I have used nearly all my Tea for Two up! ;-)
So, back to the card...
I stamped straight onto the newsprint paper after making this card in class back in May and loving the effect  it gave ;-) a few rhinestones add a touch of sparkle...
as you can see here I stitched around the edge changing to zig zag along the ribboned section
plenty of depth and some of the yummy burlap inspired ribbon, I am going to be doing more ribbon shares starting teh middle of August, see THIS POST for more details :-) and email me to reserve yours
and finally a lot of decoration inside this one too..
OK, that's all from me for today,
A quick reminder about classes

Chevron Label Love

Hello there,
We made this quick and easy card at my last Stamp-a-stack and I think it is a great example of not needing a lot of products to make cute and stylish cards.
This one would work well for both men and women and of course you could pretty it up for a more girly look (perhaps with flowers or butterflies?) or man it up for a more masculine version (say with buttons or linen thread?)
But, this is the version we made at class using the new Smoky Slate (*heart*) with (my other fave) Summer Starfruit ;-)
a close up of the Label Love stamp, we cut the punched label (behind stamped image) to show at the top and bottom
Right, that's it for today.
Thanks for stopping by :-)))))
