Fabulous Flamingo CAS Card

Hello there,
I have a super fun, single layer card and going back to the basics of simply card and ink!
This is a triple layer stamp set so I stamped the flamingo in Powder Pink then Flirty Flamingo and finally the outline using Memento black ink.
I stamped the sentiment in both Flamingo and then Memento for a shadow effect.
The leaves, water and reeds are all included in the set too :-)

Thanks for looking today, I'll be back tomorrow with a specially made Eclipse card...

Using Fabulous Flamingo for Inspire. Create. Challenges

Hello!
And welcome to another fun week at Inspire. Create. Challenges! And this week it's a challenge to make a card with an animal theme. I must admit I was tempted to use the Magical Day bundle (again) but I did resist ;-)
So, it turns out I don't have very many stamp sets with animals in them! Who knew? Thankfully the other day I had a little tidy up of my craft room and also a move around so my stamp sets are now all in front of where I sit (see my Instagram HERE) and it was because of this I spotted this Fabulous Flamingo stamp set that I haven't used in ages! I really like being able to see all my sets so easily and have remembered lots that I want to play with again...
Anyway, here's my very tropical card for this challenge.....
I stamped the body of the flamingo (birds are animals, right?) in Flirty Flamingo then added the legs and detail in Versamark before heat embossing in gold.
TIP 1: Make sure the first, pink ink layer is totally dry before stamping the detail with the versamark. You can test this by sprinkling gold embossing powder on before you stamp the second layer. If it sticks a little, brush it all off and dry the first layer either with a heat tool or leave it a little longer to air dry.
TIP 2: Be sure to use your embossing buddy before stamping the second parts!
I mentioned on Instagram that I would love some wallpaper like this stamped background. Hmm, I'm not sure the Mr would agree....
I was really pleased with how this card turned out. Exactly as I planned, fresh and bright. Can you tell I'm ready for the rain and cold to stop? ;-)
Well, we do hope you can join in with this fortnights challenge.
For more inspiration from the rest of the DT (or just to see their wonderful makes) you can hop over to the Inspire. Create. blog HERE.
Which also happens to be where you can upload your entry too ;-)
I hope you get a chance to craft today!

Stampin' Up's Pop Of Paradise Flamingo with Pop Of Pink Washi Tape to make a quick and fun card!

Hello there,
Oooh, I just uploaded these pictures and thought I probably should have shared this card with you yesterday for Washi Wednesday? Ah well, I suppose I'll just have to call it #WashiWednesdayDelayed, lol :-))))
This was another card made at class this week using the Pop Of Paradise stamps* flamingo and I teamed it with the matching washi and DSP to make this card...
*all links can be found at the end of this post
I used my markers to ink the flamingo in two colours.
TIP: Ink your stamp usingthe palest marker first and work to darker. That way if the colours overlap then you won't spoil your pens.
This sentiment is included in the set and look at the sparkle on the black and gold washi here too!
Love these gold clips, I have tied this one with Melon Mambo stitched ribbon to decorate :-)
Love this pretty matching Pop of Pink washi tape in the background. Super cute and quick too!
So, that's all from me for now, I hope you've enjoyed the card today and thanks for stopping by!

A card using Stampin' Up's Pop Of Paradise and a Video: Fit your Sweet and Sassy Framelits back in their packet!

Hello,
I just typed good morning until I realised it was actually now afternoon! Lol! Believe it or not I did actually start preparing this post this morning though ;-)
So, I have the first card from this weeks class in which we were using Pop Of Paradise. I love this set and as the week goes on hopefully I'll share with you just just how versatile and fashionable these stamps and papers truly are!
This first card goes with the classic colour combo (and the colours of the DSP) of black, hot pink (melon mambo) and gold...
The images on this card were layered right up over a Sweet and Sassy die cut heart!
Gold. Lovely, sparkly and shiny gold... I always love heat embossing, it's a technique that never gets old for me!
On a Melon Mambo card base with matching thick twine.
OK, so do you have the Sweet and Sassy Framelits? Well, if you do (or are planning to get them) and you take them all out of the packet at once, maybe to add magnets like this, you might find it tricky to get them back in there? And so this, right here, is how they go back in their packet...
and I made a super quick video too with a couple of extra tips for storing these (and other) framelits...
One last picture of today's card!
OK, that's all from me for today. I hope you liked the card and the super quick video too?
I'll be back with another card tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by,
