Petal Promenade Wreath Card

Hello there,
Today's card uses the Petal Promenade DSP. I love how this paper looks so 3d but is completely flat! You can see the SU! design process for making this paper HERE
So, I wanted to use one of the pretty summer wreaths from the paper so I made this card...
I added a stamped sentiment to the centre from Dandelion Wishes and a little ribbon bow to the top and well, the paper does most of the rest tbh :-)
Just a few sequins for a little bling!
It was super easy to cut this out so please don't let the fussy cutting put you off :-) This paper is also great for pretty, flat cards (which are easy to post) but still look super dimensional, don't you think?
That's all from me for today, isn't today the last work day before the bank holiday??
Have you got much crafting planned for the long weekend?
Thanks so much for stopping by today,

Fabulous Flamingo CAS Card

Hello there,
I have a super fun, single layer card and going back to the basics of simply card and ink!
This is a triple layer stamp set so I stamped the flamingo in Powder Pink then Flirty Flamingo and finally the outline using Memento black ink.
I stamped the sentiment in both Flamingo and then Memento for a shadow effect.
The leaves, water and reeds are all included in the set too :-)

Thanks for looking today, I'll be back tomorrow with a specially made Eclipse card...

Half Glitter Large Letters Birthday Card

Hi there!
It's another wet day here but I have managed to get plenty of jobs done this week including all the washing so my weekend off will be a tiny bit more of a weekend off ;-)
But right now let's see the card for today. I made this card made for our daughters birthday in March and I used some SaB papers (Bubbles and Fizz) with a simple half glittered name and a touch of black to make it pop! Let's see...
To make these half glitter letters I added three stacked strips of Myths and Magic washi to thick white card, wide enough to get all the letters across, before die cutting with large letter framelits. I then die cut the name twice more from thick white card and layered the letters up to make them stand out on the card.
This sentiment is from the (retiring) Happiest Of Days stamp set, heat embossed in white onto black card. I also added a little silver tinsel trim (which is in the clearance rack now for just £3.30 for a pack with both red and silver! Go!)
I was chatting with a fellow demo recently about why adding a little black to some cards was a good choice (she didn't agree) but I think it gives this card is perfect for showing how black can give your project just a little lift, don't you?
Stacked die cuts are much easier than dimensionals for thin/small shapes like this.
Adding a little DSP inside ties it all together. I don't always do this but I really should do it more as often as all you need is a couple of little offcuts that usually end up in the bin anyway ;-)
And that's it, the birthday girl (said she) loved her card and now, what do you think?
That's all from me for today, I'm going to get editing some more pics now so I will be back to share another card with you tomorrow :-)
'Till then, happy stamping!

Wonderful Life stamp set! It's not just for Christmas :-)

Hello there,
I'm still alive, just! So this week I have been mostly working, finishing some magazine commissions, trying to get the house ready (ie: clean, tidy and finishing any last minute jobs that have to be done) for the Christmas decorations to come down from the loft and trying to kick this latest round of cold/flu. I have been powering through ok but today I am wiped out, hence sitting down and listening to Christmas songs while I'm catching up with my blogging ;-)!
Anyway, I do have a card for you today :-) If you follow me on social media then you will have seen my epic fail when I made this card. My original vision was not exactly like this but, can I say, what a save...
I totally blanked when I upended the ink pad on this card, a lot of that was because I left it till just an hour before I needed it to make this card but, thanks to Rachel who suggested I cut the top off the stamped part and this is what I  ended up with :-)
So, to make this card I stamped the present stack at the bottom of this piece of shimmer white card, stamped it again onto a post-it-note, masked and restamped. Repeat 'till you are happy with your present mountain.
TIP: You may need two or three masks.
After colouring I added some dimensionals along the top of the gift stack edge and glued the bottom down flat.
Sentiment is from the "Happiest of Days" stamp set which I stamped and then added clear embossing powder to and heated it to to set.
There's a sneak peek on this card, did you notice that sequin embossing in the background #comingsoon
So, I'm pleased with this card in the end, despite it's disastrous beginnings, what do you think?
OK, back tomorrow with another make,
'till then
