A Bright, Fun Colour Challenge with Inspire. Create. Challenges

Hello there and welcome to another card for Inspire. Create. Challenges!
This fortnight the challenge is a colour one and we are using Melon Mambo Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight.
To visit the Inspire. Create. Challenge blog click HERE where the other DT members will surely have a whole heap of inspiration for you :-)
As I usually use pastel colours these bright colours made a really nice change, pushing me out of my comfort zone. I used them with these adorable Flying Home birdhouse stamps...
I used blender pens and my ink pads to colour this image in and I also added a couple of neutrals with Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate and Soft Suede.
And a few stamped leaves, from Heart Happiness set, gives the base card a bit of interest.
Finished with a tiny Daffodil Delight bow. This actual ribbon is retired but you can still purchase the double stitched Daffodil ribbon which has a lovely criss-cross pattern.
We do hope you join us for this challenge, I've loved playing with these colours and really hope you have a go too :-)

Thanks so much for looking today, I'll be back soon with another card.

TMT Video Tutorial: How to Cover paper Cups the Easy Way

Hello and welcome to Two Minute(ish) Tuesday.
In today's video I'm sharing with you how to cover mini coffee cups quickly and easily, like these I shared with you yesterday (to view the full post, please go HERE).
Here is today's tutorial.
Please give it a thumbs up if you enjoy it and if you want to subscribe to my YouTube channel they will make sure you see my new videos as soon as they are uploaded :-)
Enjoy!
This method works on all kinds of pots, in any size. These are ice cream tubs I picked up in the supermarket which I covered {to match the table favours and card} for Josh's Birthday adding photo clips in the centres and filling them with shredded paper to display baby pictures at his 18th birthday dinner. I know. I'm a good mum like that ;-)
and a few of the coffee cups together to finish today.
I hope you have enjoyed today's post. I'll be back tomorrow with another ;-)
Thanks for looking,

Sweet and Gorjuss

Morning ladies!
I hope you all had a great weekend, we didn't do much this weekend as Josh was pretty knackered after his week away, he really enjoyed himself though and came home with no broken bones ;0) .
And then, on Sunday my train card won Fave Five on Stamp with us !! whoop whoop!! That sure put a smile on my face let me tell you!! especially as I wasn't sure about it at first, unfortunately it didn't kick start the ol' mojo as I managed to start a couple of cards this weekend but only managed to finish one!
This is a card for my cousin who is 12 this week, the same age as Josh! and it is going all the way to New York :0) (note for nicki: contacts!! LOL!!)

I used the sketch from this weeks Just Magnolia blog, obviously I am not going to enter it ;0), I just thought it was such a nice layout, but as I don't have many Magnolia stamps I decided to use one of my slightly neglected Gorjuss Girls. Below are a couple of close ups of the buttons I put onto this card, really trying to use some of my stash instead of looking at it and saving it, he he!

I have used this lovely paper which is by DCWV from their "Sweet" pad as I thought it was cool enough for a (nearly) teenager and cute enough for a girly card IYKWIM!!! I layered it with Certainly Celery card and inked the edges in the same ink, which turned out to be a perfect match, yay! Girl coloured with pro-markers, thanks for the tips Sarah, how did I do ?

Lastly, here is the inside with another of those sweet Melon quarters,

Thanks everyone for your comments I really enjoy reading them,

Hope you have a lovely day,

Hugs Sarah-Jane xx
