Using Sheltering Tree and Beautiful Ride by Stampin' Up! Together and Paper Piecing the VW Beetle!

Hello,
Today's card uses the VW Beetle I cut out when making THIS shaker card last week, I was extra careful when I cut the image from the paper as I knew I would want to use it for another card (as I mentioned in the video)
So I decided to team the paper pieced Beetle with the Sheltering Tree stamp set (BONUS: Sheltering Tree is in this weeks Weekly Deals for just £17.25! but only 'till the 9th Feb) I stamped it onto Kraft card to make this, it would be perfect for Valentine's day don't you think??....
I added crystal effects to the wheels and windows and a pair of hearts to the door.
I stamped the sheltering tree trunk in Early Espresso and added some blossom using Blushing Bride, it's quite pale on this kraft card but that's the look I was after as I wanted the hearts from the heart confetti border punch to be the focus on the tree.
Blushing bride ribbon with a mini tag
I added the car on dimensionals and secured the tag too
and a top view to finish, I do love this little car!!
OK, that's all from me for today,
Back soon with more.

Two New Home Cards Using Sheltering Tree by Stampin' Up!

Hi there,
I hope you have had a good weekend? We have been out and about with birthday parties and errands so it's been busy as usual, but it was dry at least ;-) Hopefully tomorrow will be a crafting day here though as I have quite a list of cards to make!
So, this evening I have two cards for two dear friends who were both moving last week. I decided to use the same stamp set, Sheltering Tree, and just change up the colours to suit both a man and a woman to make these cards...
Let's start with the more masculine version. I used Mint Macaron and Night of Navy for this card...
The little birds in the tree are from the White Christmas stamp set,
This sentiment is from the Happy Notes stamp set, I inked just the sentiment part using a ,marker and punched it out with the 1+3/4" circle punch...
...and added a few little stars, again from White Christmas.
and a top view to finish this card
And here is the more feminine version in a Pink Pirouette and Pool Party colourway
I was inspired by my friend Zoe Tant to add these little flowers to the tree, thanks Zoe :-)
I used the same sentiment but punched it with the scalloped circle punch and added more flowers for this version
A (retired) pool party seam binding bow but you could use Pink Pirouette seam binding instead which is still available.
and a top view to finish this card :-)
And one more picture together to finish tonight
I think they liked their cards and I hope you did too, do let me know in the comments :-)
Thanks for stopping by today,

Heat embossed Sheltering Tree by Stampin' Up!

Hello,
After a but few days at home, with a still poorly littlest boy, I'm back on here with the first of this weeks card class cards.
I recently purchased a tub of Blushing Bride embossing powder and I knew, with all the blossom around at the moment, exactly what I wanted to make using it with the Sheltering Tree stamp set!
I haven't used this stamp set as much as I would have liked as I have been making the most of the fab Sale-a-Bration products these the last few months :-)
OK, let's take a look at today's card...
I stamped the trunk in Early Espresso ink before stamping the leaves using Versamark and heat embossing with the Blushing Bride powder
The swish under the tree was stamped in Pistachio Pudding and the sentiment in Sahara Sand
an Old Olive 1/8" taffeta ribbon bow around the spine
I used Pink Pirouette card under the white (as I had no Blushing Bride ;-)) before adding to a Crumb Cake card base
and one last pic before I go tonight :-)
Well, I hope you liked this card as much as the ladies at class enjoyed making it?
If you live in the South of the UK why not join us at my next class? It's Notecards and Postcards next time :-) Message me for details!
Thanks for stopping by today
