Father's Day/Men's Class Cards Close Look!

Hello there,
As I promised I am back today with a much closer look at last weeks class, we made 3 Men's/Father's Day cards which all went down really well with al the ladies who made them :-) And if you have still to make your Father's day card (you better get on with it! ;-) ) erm, I mean I hope these inspire you, ha ha!
So, we made a little origami shirt, if you would like to make one then just Google Origami Shirts for hundreds of tutorials! Background uses Trendy Trees with versamark. I love Grey and Limeade together at the moment, in fact my lounge is these colours!
 Mini brads are used for the buttons on the shirt
Next up was a shirt card, this ribbon is just the perfect size for the tie don't you think? Dad is from the brill For My Family set and we heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder to make it stand out.
a simple sentiment inside
 And finally a punch art Golfing card to finish, I love that we now have clouds from Up, Up and Away for this card as well as this sentiment which is from there too.
 Pennant punch flag flapping in the breeze ;-)
If you would like to come along to the next class then please email me to book a spot, we are using the lovely Mixed Bunch stamp set with it's fab matching punch. More pics and details to follow tomorrow.
Thanks for visiting today and I look forward to hearing from you soon!

 I stamped Outlined Occasions inside and coloured it in with my Versamark pen again, I love this look ;-)

Mens Birthdays!

Good morning!
Apologies for a lack of post yesterday, the housework monster reared it's ugly head and made me do it!! ha ha! But now I have a clean house so last night I crafted 'till  the wee early hours of the morning, ah happy days...
Anyway, I am just off to town but wanted to share this card with you first, as you saw on Monday I have had Engraved Greeting out so decided to make a couple of "boyish" cards with the brilliant birthday sentiment,
I used an old Mojo sketch again and the colour combo of Old Olive, Night of Navy and a touch of Daffodil Delight with the Square Lattice Embossing folder used on the panels behind for a bit of texture. The background was stamped using Trendy Trees and Circle Circus,

I layered up the "H" and "B" as I always seem to do with this image ;-)
and well, as you know, no card is complete without a bit of ribbon and a button, even on a mans card! I made a know instead of a bow and Voila! a manly ribbon treatment! (I hope) he he!
and finally a bi of stitching to tie in the inside,
O.K. I really have to dash off now!
Thanks as always for dropping by today and I hope you get a chance to get inky today :-D

A New Milk Carton for Ribbon Shares (Last one!)

Happy February to you!
What a lovely day I had yesterday, crafty day with my friends, however I didn't get nearly as much done as I possibly should have! had a bit of a blank on cards for a while, spent rather a long time chatting and pushing paper around, I'm sure you all know that feeling!
O.K. So I did make some new milk cartons on Sunday for my last 2 Satin Ribbon Shares.
I made them with a Tempting Turquoise base with Pear Pizzazz (again) and Tangerine Tango, I also used a stamp set I have had for quite a while and it hadn't even seen any ink! shock! it's called Hello Again,
After cutting the flower out I mounted it on a Curly Label Extra Large punched shape, the background was stamped using one of the tree tops from Trendy Trees,
and this is what is inside... 1.5metres of super soft Satin Ribbon in each of the 13 colours SU! sell,

So if you want to get your hands on these ribbons they are just £9 collected and £10 if I post to you, I only have 1 left so if you need them {;-)} then email me now at sarah-janerae@sky.com
Thanks for stopping by today,
back tomorrow with a card for a 10 year old girl,

Trees in Teal

Hello,
I hope you are all well today, I have a little card today totally inspired today by the paper I used on it, The paper is from the Sweet Pea stack, this is only available until the end of September, so if you haven't got it yet then you better hurry ;-)
Colours used are Taken with Teal, Basic Grey, Old Olive, Choc Chip and Summer Sun.

Trendy Trees stamp set used and this set is 20% off this month so it is a bargain at just £10.36! but only 'till the end of August, I also used it to make the background on the right hand side of this card.

I used the Cutter Kit to distress the edges and finished it off with my favourite Linen Thread.
Thanks for stopping by today,

Trendy Buttons

Good Morning,
I have another easel card to share with you today.
I wanted to add some buttons to the little tree trunks from "Trendy Trees", instead of the stamped tops, just for a change, and I think it works really well giving this set a whole other angle ;-)
background stamped using the "Good Friend" set in toning colours
Circle of Firendship bithday sentiment, I think this was the very first SU! set I ever bought, I love it and don't use it anywhere near enough, I have layered it up using lots of punches here,
Certainly Celery Twill ribbon (not available any more sadly) tied with Linen Thread as are the buttons,
And finally here is the side view,
Well, quick post from me today, I am going to do a bit more work in the garden this morning,
Have a good one,

Cards and Cupcakes

So, I am much later than I thought I would be with today's post but I have been really busy! It is Neils birthday today and I have been busy baking the yummiest chocolate brownie cupcakes, I haven't made them before but trust me, mm, mmm, mmmm! I will show you a piccie further down this post but first here is the set of Trendy Trees cards I promised you...

I used Kraft card, thin twill tape and Craft White Ink teamed with Basic Grey for the trunks and sentiments,

Word Window punch with sentiments from the set and Sincere Salutations for the others,

on the corners are 1/4" punched circles covered in Glossy Accents to make faux brads.

These would make a great gift set don't you think??

O.K. onto the cupcakes :0) Now, me and the boys (Zoe was at pottery, shh!) had to test just one, between us I might add, just to make sure they were O.K. you understand! and well, Josh wants them on Friday for his birthday afternoon tea, so they must be good eh??

O.K. so I'm not normally much of a decorator, usually as long as it tastes nice then that's O.K. for me but I have been getting into making the tops look pretty, I mean these are quite basic but I enjoyed myself! he he! {notice my cupcake tea towel too?!}

Right must dash 'cause hubby's home and I need to pamper him, just a little you know ;0)

Bye for now, Hugs Sarah-Jane xx

P.S. I know I still have to draw someone for the Lavender bag giveaway, I will do it later on tonight, thanks for your patience xx

Trendy Tree Thanks

Hello,
How's your day been? mine has been quiet, too quiet actually so I decided it was about time I got out of the house, it is just too quiet here at the mo :0(
Anyways, I went to the village and had a mooch around, looking through the charity shops, not something to do with hubs, he is not fond of that past time! as it happens I didn't find anything in the charity shops today.
I did however manage to find a lovely white painted wooden toothbrush holder and it's matching toilet roll holder in a little shop in Hythe for just £1 each in the sale, perfect for Josh's new shower room :0)
Right now, onto todays card, I made this a few days ago, I am loving the Perfect Plum and Pale Plum colour combo at the mo, I have just ordered the Perfect Plum DSP so looking forward to having a play with those, I digress (again) back to the card...

A close up of the trees, stamped in both the plums and Pretty in Pink, trunks in Creamy Caramel,

As you can see I added another little tree inside to finish,

That's all for today, don't forget to enter m colour challenge and my blog candy whilst you are here,
I will be back tomorrow with a card for 2 challenges and I have to say I love it *can I say that??*
anyways, you can let me know what you think,
Bye for today, Hugs S.J. xxxx

Colour Inspiration Cards

Good Morning,
I have to warn you, before you start, this post is very picture heavy (again!) I would grab a cuppa if I were you, I just have ;0)
Soooo, here is the rubber (eraser) which inspired these 4 cards, Zoe was drawing and when I saw it and knew I had to use these colours, which , like I said yesterday is unusual as I am not normally very good at colour challenges! Well, I will let you decide if I am any good ????
I am also entering these into Cupcake Craft Challenges which this week is to make a set of something, perfect!

So, here it is, Tempting Turquoise, More Mustard, Basic Black and Whisper White.

First one using Trendy Trees and scallop square punch, White Satin Rbbon and a button from the Playground pack,

These three are made using Sale-a-Bration set Good Neighbours, all slightly different, Mat Pack and scalloped border punch used on this one,

Sentiment on this one is from Pocket Silhouettes,

and of course I have used my Stamp-a-ma-Jig on all the cards to position the little houses perfectly!

And here they are all together,
So finally for today I am throwing the challenge out to you!!!! yup, that's right, why not have a go at making a card in these colours and I will send out a small prize to one lucky blog reader, anywhere in the world, so everyone can enter. I will give you a week or so to have a go, link it back to this post so I can go and see ;0)
I really hope you will have a go and I really look forward to seeing how it inspires you too,

Trendy Trees

Well Good Morning to you all,
It feels like an age since I last blogged, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas?? Ours down south was not white unfortunately :0( but it was lovely, lots of food and family, just like yours, I suspect!
Do you know what?? I have not done a single bit of crafting over the holidays!! I am definitely hoping to get some in today and I have got tonight off work too! yay!
This card today is the last one I made before Christmas, it was made to hold some theatre tickets for MIL and FIL's Christmas gift. I didn't want a Christmas design though as the show (Chicago) is not until February.

The card base is Real Rust, paper is the Merry Moments Christmas one, but I think it is quite neutral? not too christmassey, and the cute little x's and o's are from Sealed with a Kiss-a set I have had for a while but only just used, ooops! yummy old olive striped grosgrain ribbon to finish this quite simple card using the lovely Trendy Trees stamps,
That's it for me for today but I will be back tomorrow (hopefully) if I get a chance to sneak some crafting in ;0)
Have a lovely day,
Hugs Sarah-Jane xxx

Trendy Trees Christmas

Hiya,
I have a Christmas card to show you today... but not a traditional one! As you can see it is a black and white colour scheme and it uses a set which is not really a Christmas one (Trendy Trees), so you can use it all year round, bonus!!
I used Basic Black and Basic Grey ink pads and some of the lovely new white satin ribbon which I tied with a little Black and White Gingham,
As you can see I added Dazzling Diamonds glitter with the 2 way glue pen for a bit of Christmas Bling :0) It is much prettier IRL but unfortunately it is very grey here today, if it's not chucking it down! So, even after playing the pictures are a bit rubbish today. Sorry.
Finally I finished the bottom of this easel card with some of the fantastic Groom Paper, now they call it paper but it is so thick I think it should be called card! and if you would like a different colour you can buy the white one and brayer it in any colour you want, gently wipe the excess off and the shiny will stay lovely and white, very pretty! I may even show you if anyone would like to see it??
Right, off to do some jobs now, have a nice day

A couple of gifts :0)

Hello again,
Well today is the last of my scheduled posts, this one is sharing with you the gifts I have made for Jules and Jeannette and not forgetting Karin who I will be sharing a room with on Thursday and Friday, I sooo hope I don't snore, LOL!
This first one is for Karin, I have wrapped some smellies in Basic Black card, then die cut a panel of the fab new "Groom" card, little tag punched out and added to the front (tag punches on offer this month and next, scroll down for details :D) wide striped ribbon with buttons at each end,
top view.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Next up this one is for Jules,
I have used her favourite Butterfly stamp set and matching punch, in her fave colour too, Regal Rose
Inside is a bottle of spa lotion and body spray, wrapped in large cello bags,
Here is Jeannettes, much the same but in a colour she uses a lot, so I think she must like it?? (Hope so anyway!)
Stamp set used here is Trendy Trees, love it! sentiment from One of a Kind, as I have edited these photos I realise that Jules and Jeannettes look really wonky! I promise they are straight IRL !!
Well that's it for today, I will be back tomorrow with (hopefully) some piccies from convention,
Stampin' Hugs to you all,
Sarah-Jane xxxxx
