Dashing aroud!

Hello,
OMG! I don't know about you but I can hardly believe that tomorrow is the last day of school!!! I haven't wrapped a thing yet either! eek!
So, this (not so fine) evening I have been frantically making teachers gift packaging too. I will photograph it in the daylight tomorrow morning (along with the 30,000 other things I need to do before school ;-)) I'm sure you understand... and if you are not running around like a headless chicken like I am then a big well done to you x and have a mince pie for me would you? :-D
Anyways, onto today's card, this one was a request from a friend (along with another which I will share tomorrow) for a relative so it had to be a special one, I am unsure as to why all my photos are so rubbish at the moment, the closer ones further down are better but unfortunately this is the only one I got of it in full....

Very Vanilla base with Jolly Holiday papers and yummy red striped grosgrain ribbon which you can still earn for free 'till the end of the month, see THIS post

Sentiment is Curly Cute and as you can see the spritzer has had a good airing the last few days, infact I think I spritzed everything that didn't move ;-) a yummy Cherry Cobbler button finishes it off,

Dasher was spritzed and blinged too. I just love this ribbon

And the inside was finished with the snowflake stamp from Winters Post
Well, thanks for stopping by tonight, unfortunately blogger won't let me schedule anything at the moment, boo! and as I have to go and visit my Mum in hospital tomorrow morning I would hope to get a post done later on tomorrow,
Thanks again and laters
Hugs,

Decembers Packaging Class

Hello,
Just call me Nurse S.J.! I have been here looking after two sick children this last few days, first off Zoe started on Friday with a temperature and feeling ill then by Sunday Zack had it too. Zoe has finally gone back to school this morning with just a tickly cough but as it is her Christingle service today and also the school disco tonight so she was desperate to go back *smile*
I did manage to do the packaging class on Monday, unfortunately it was very reduced in numbers due to lots of illnesses, it seems it is everywhere at the moment, but we did have a lovely time with festering music and warm mince pies to lift our spirits!
We made this little gift card holder which Jules shared with us at convention, I also made a very similar one HERE for a friends birthday, I have prettied this one up a little ;-)

Card is Baja Breeze, lovely white organza ribbon (p 96) and the main image is from the set Gifted which was used on all the projects in this months class and is also in the current SU! promotion, I inked it using the markers, share starting soon, the little images are from the set Every Little Bit which I have used loads.

I used the eyelet border punch on the front and inside flaps, the 'to' and 'from' is from Winters Post, and Word Window and Tab Punch were used to do the slots for the gift card to sit in,
and here is the arty angle, the oval in the middle of this image fits the XL Oval Punch perfectly so we punched and layered it. We also sprayed everything we made with shimmer spray (shimmer paint mixed with alcohol) as it is Christmas you gotta have plenty of sparkle!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We also made mini milk cartons (filled with Celebrations, yum) I was inspired by a swap from Jo D at convention, {hers is a cute birdhouse}, I just adapted the Milk Carton Tutorial I made to fit A5 card instead of A4, change measurements to score at 5, 10, 15 and 20cm then flip to score at 3, 10 and 13.5cm, these worked for me, the only other change I made to the original design was to clip the top before you seal the bottom of your carton so you can get your fingers in to push out the corners (iykwim?) so your folds are crisp as where it is small it is not so easy to manipulate,
back to this carton, same 2 sets used as before and also the scallop trim border punch to decorate the bottom edge in Cherry Cobbler card, doesn't ti work well with either modern or traditional colour schemes, great colour ;-) finished with clips and some 3mm taffeta ribbon.
and finally a view of the layers on the front of the greeting, this stamp would be perfect for making all your tags too...hmmm, another thing to add to my list...
Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to come back tomorrow for the other projects from this class,
Stampin' hugs,
It's nearly Christmas!
Good Morning to you,
Well I managed the food shopping yesterday, but boy! was it busy!! And yes I should be at IKEA right now enjoying a lovely cooked (by someone else) brekkie, but it is very cold and icy round here-accidents have closed the motorway, and affected the roads into town :0( whats it like with you? If it is icy please be careful, in fact why not stay in and craft! well, what else is there to do when you can't go out??!!
Right, here is today's card/gift wallet. I made this by tri-scoring a sheet of A4 card. Inside I have cut the third section at an angle to make a pocket, {sorry about the poor piccie, it was taken very late Saturday night} it is holding a clubcard voucher which fit nicely inside.
Card used was Tempting Turquoise with White Craft Ink snowflakes, I also stamped some extra snowflakes then punched them out using 1+1/4" and 1+13/8" punches to add a bit of dimension to a quite plain card, lastly a pop of 1/4" real red ribbon to lift the colour.
That's all for today then, I have my friend coming for lunch (as we couldn't have brekkie!) so must get tidied up a bit, may even have to get dressed! lol!!!
Have a great day, Sarah-Jane xxx
Mini Pizza Gift Boxes
Helloooo,
Well, are you done?? I am neeearly finished, just got about 3 or 4 presents left to wrap and later today we are going to brave the dreaded food shop! eeek! Then that's it, I'll be ready. I have promised the kids I will take them to IKEA for breakfast on Wednesday (they love it, honest!)
Right onto today's project, I am afraid I can't possibly tell you what is in these boxes as the ladies I am giving them to all see my blog on Facebook!
ETA: I am going to enter these into the SWU challenge this week which is Christmas theme! yay!
Well there isn't really too much to say about these except I had made a whole batch of these fan things and decided I would use them on these boxes too ;0) I have made one using the same snowflake as the milk carton because one of the ladies came to my class and already made the fan...
I am trying to use up some of my older stash and the ribbon I have used is just that,
Sentiment is Best Yet the retired hostess set for last years catty, Choc Chip, Old Olive, Very Vanilla and Kraft card was used with the Winters Post snowflake :0) Punches used were Scallop Circle, Oval and Scalloped Oval ((what did I do before these punches were in my drawer??)
Right must dash, back tomorrow with a card I made in a flash to hold some gift vouchers for my friend,
Have a good day, oh and if you go out be careful, especially if you have snow!
Sour Cream Containers
Good morning to you,
I hope you all had a lovely weekend. We went into town yesterday to get the last few bits for Christmas. Zoe has wanted her ears pierced for ages now and we have been undecided for a long time, will she look after them, keep them clean, not fiddle with them, cry when she has them done (as she isn't good with pain!!) ??? you know, all the usual worries.... so we finally said O.K. and took her to get them done for her Christmas present yesterday. She was so brave and didn't cry at all! And it has made her so happy and given her a real confidence boost, so I am very pleased we let her have it done :0)
Anyway, onto today's post, my friend who popped in on Halloween asked me to make some sour cream containers for her Christmas table, only 10 though this time, but she wanted all different designs on them,
Now I know the photos are really dark but I did actually take these in the middle of the day last week but it has just been so horrid that they are rubbish, sorry. I have asked Santa for a light box so I can take better photos for you (if I have been a good girl!) in the new year
And here are a couple of them in close up, stamp sets used were Winters Post and Perfect Presents with all the circle punches, Card and Inks in Old Olive, Real Red and Whisper White, all finished off with a good sprinkling of Dazzling Diamonds,
So that's it for me today, I am off to make the tutorial for the gift bag from Fridays post, do come back tomorrow and let me know what you think,
Have a good day, Hugs Sarah-Jane xxx
Bags and Tags Class
Hiya,
Sorry for the lack of post yesterday, but I was sooo busy getting ready for tomorrows class and lots of other bits, that time just ran away with me! Anyways I am (finally)ready to show you what we will be making :0)
First of all we will be making 4 gift tags, As you can see I have gone for a modern colour theme this month with the blue (night of Navy and Brocade Blue) with Whisper White, you could always adapt it though to more traditional reds and greens if you prefer that, Stamp set used is Perfect Presents, Tag punches used to make the second down on the left, you can still get these for FREE !! click on link to find out more...
Snowman soup in a box (as I was so pleased with how the last lot turned out!) Snowflake is from Winters Post, stamped in Craft White ink ((love it!!))
A fabby Gift card holder, which is inspired by a wonderful German Demo called Ilona, {Thanks hun x} I just loved her swap at convention and had to re-create it for this class, (I have actually made 3 now, I will share the other two with you net week,) Stamps are Perfect Presents again,
And finally, as a special thank-you to the ladies coming tomorrow I have made them a little Christmas present, the same as some of the swaps I made for Germany, I will be doing a little tutorial on these next week, so do pop back,
Right that's it for today, Have a lovely weekend,
Hugs, Sarah-Jane xxx
Christmas Tags
Good Morning to you all today,
It's been a busy few days but I have made some lovely little gift tags to share with you today, I made these after feeling all inspired by my class on Saturday.
These will be the make and Take at the Ladies day I am attending on Friday. They have been made with the fab Winters Post stamp set again and also the Level 1 hostess set Punches 3 (the scallop square tag), the scallop circle, scallop square and new 1+3/4" circle punches.
As you can see I also made a little box with an acetate slide cover to store them in, we were shown a version of this at convention and thought it would be fab to have a go {just to let you know, it's a lovely and simple box to make :0)} DSP is Merry Moments
and here are the tags tied with linen thread,
Well I hope you like and I will be back tomorrow with {hopefully} a sneak peek of my next class which is on 5th December, (contact details in side bar) It will be a bags and Tags class for all those last minute wrapping essentials, I would love it if you could make it.
Bye for now,
Hugs Sarah-Jane xxx
Christmas Class Sneak Peeks
Good morning,
As promised I have a few cards for you today. We will be making these and a couple more, {which I will share tomorrow,} on Saturday, details in the side bar, email me for more details if you live near Southampton or the New Forest and have a couple of spare hours on Saturday :0) I would love to see you,
This one is Old Olive base with the snowflake from Winters Post stamped in Versamark , Punched Scallop Squares of Merry Moments DSP and the sentiment is from the Level 1 Hostess set Punches 3, bit of old olive striped grosgrain and a crystal brad,
This lovely couple are again from Winters Post, stamped n Choc Chip straight onto twill tape, again using Merry Moments DSP and finally, wrapped with linen thread,
And last of all for today a square card made from Kraft card. We learnt how to make this sweet fan circle at convention and the deer, again from Winters Post {I am in love with this set! did you notice??}, is covered in Crystal Effects,
Right, that's it for today, got loads to do! Pop back tomorrow for a looksie at the rest, and they aren't using Winters Post either, just for a change! ;0) Have a great day,
Hugs Sarah-Jane xxx
