Two Holly Berry Happiness Wreath Cards with tips.

Hello there,
Today I used Holly Berry Happiness to make a duo of wreath cards. Now, we made these cards at my All Day Christmas Class but I have put off blogging these cards as I was going to make a video tutorial but I have simply run out of time and well, it's a bit late now really! So, instead I'll talk you through my tips for making this card as I go!
Here are both the cards together to start today, one with a white base and one with a crumb cake base...
The crumb cake version gives a more rustic effect and this paper is just £4.50 right now in the Year End Closeout for 48 sheets! Love it!
TIP 1: To create this wreath I used the second largest circles thinlits die as a guide, simply draw around the inside of the die using a pencil.
Remember these brilliant, closely layered circle dies are on offer at just £25.60 'till 3rd January!!
I used the holly leaf outline stamp first to stamp around the circle.
TIP 2: Start at the top and work your way around the circle, this makes positioning the second, solid leaves stamp much easier.
TIP 3: See here I added a tiny mark with a sharpie at each end so it was easier to position on the pencil line.
And the white version, this gives a crisper look, I think...
Sentiment is Tin of Tags, heat embossed in gold fora little extra pizzazz!
And both together to finish today.
Well, that's all from me for today, I'll be back soon with another Christmas card, we are  getting down to the last few now that I have left to share :-)

Two Cards using Wonderful Year stamps by Stampin' Up!

Hello there,
Todays pair of cards use the Wonderful Year stamp set and the baby wipe swipe effect (I made this name up btw, it may have a 'proper' name, but I don't know it ;-)). I first saw this on my friend and upline Julies blog who, I believe, was shown it by Jane who is also a Jem :-) A big thanks to both lovely ladies for this fabulous idea and for sharing it, both I and the ladies at class thought it was fab! Here are the two cards I designed to show it off...
To achieve this look I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed it in copper onto shimmery white card. Then dip a baby wipe into an ink pad and swipe it across. Keep adding colour until you're happy with the intensity. Simples!
Add some banners from the Warmth and Cheer DSP pad to the side. Gold metallic shapes finish this garden green card base with a cherry cobbler swipe.
Here, I swapped the colours around to use a cherry cobbler base with garden green ink swipe.
I stapled the twine to the banners before tying in a bow. Finished with metallic shapes in silver for this one.
TIP: Use a matching coloured card layer on the top of the card (14.6cm x 10.3cm) and staple through that before adhering to a card base. This covers the staple so it stays pretty inside!
And both cards together to finish today.
Well, I hope you have enjoyed today's cards?
Remember to pop back tomorrow for the first 24 hour flash sale including some of the metallic shapes shown here!!
Back tomorrow with all the news.
Thanks for looking today,

Making Two Vellum Window Cards using the Santa's Sleigh Reindeer by SU!

Hello and happy Saturday to you!
I have another duo of cards for you today this time using the very lovely Santa's Sleigh dies. Of course these dies are 10% cheaper when purchased as a bundle with the matching stamps but I've just used the dies on this card. I've used a sentiment from the Tin of Tags stamps which are still in the 25% off sale too, but only 'till the end of the month. OK, lets see these cards shall we....
I used a red sharpie to colour a silver enamel shape (from the metallics pack which are in the online extravaganza from Monday, more info at the end of this post!)
This design worked best when teaming a neutral pattern with a bold colour like this red plaid and crumb cake tree DSP.
For this second design I swapped the position of the patterns around but stuck with the same neutral and bold combo.
The tin of tags sentiments are definitely not just for tags! I have used them loads this Christmas.
And I used the die cut deer from the front to decorate inside. No waste and a pretty inside :-)
 And both cards together
There's 25% off selected stamps, including the Tin of Tags set shown above, 'till the 30th November to celebrate the release of the fabulous new stitched edge dies.
And before I go today I want to share the Online Extravaganza news with you! Up to 40% off selected products from the 21st-28th November with extra special deals for 24 hours only on the 21st and the 28th! Message me for the inside scoop!
