Number Of Years and Barnyard Babies for a First Birthday Card!

Hello there,
Today is our lovely grandson, Jackson's first birthday! And today's card is the one I made for him :-)
I was super organised with making this card and consequently one of the stamp sets; Barnyard Babies is now retired :-( Hopefully you have this fun set but if not you should check out the very adorable "A Little Wild*" set! My set of this is here now so I'll be sharing some makes with that soon too ;-)
*available as a bundle
So, let's take a closer look at this card, shall we?
I love how the stitched circles just add a little something extra to the layers.
Number of Years is a favourite of many, for very good reason.
TIP: As this is a photopolymer stamp set you can bend the "Look Who's Turning" sentiment to fit a smaller circle, like I did here!
I added the images with dimensionals.
And one final photo to finish today.
Right, this post has taken about 3 hours longer to finish than it should have as my computer wanted to update and then I couldn't log in, blah de blah! What a wind up! lol. So now I'm super behind and still need to make a million things! I hope you enjoyed todays card and get a chance to be creative yourself today!

Video Tutorial: How You Can "Step Up" Any Card, Easily! Using Stampin' Up! Products

Hello,
Two posts in one day! Get me ;-) If you missed the first post you can hop OVER HERE.
But for this second post I have a video tutorial for you. This tutorial was inspired by one of my ladies
who comes to class, she was saying last week that she (shock, horror) goes out and buys cards for her family! I know, right! Anyway, she said when it was a family members birthday she was wanting something a bit special and so I shared with her how to take a "Standard" size card, ie: half A4 or half 8"x11"-ish sized and make it "Special".
So, lets take a look...
And here are a few more pictures of the cards, as promised on my video :-)
The first card, using Boys Will Be Boys Stamps. See the original card HERE
Next card steps up a Giggle Greetings card. See the original card HERE
And finally this card uses Barnyard Babies.  See the original card HERE
So, that's all from me for this evening. I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial and helps you to adapt your cards to be suitable for more occasions? Do let me know!

Using Stampin' Up's Barnyard Babies for a girl who loves Horses

Hello,
I recently needed a special birthday card for  special girl who loves horses and archery! I had no idea what I was going to do until I sat down. Then it hit me, there's a horse in Barnyard Babies and I remembered THIS CARD I made back in June to make this similar design....
I stamped onto watercolour paper and coloured this little fella with crumb cake and tip top taupe ink pads then added this rosette made after stamping it onto a scrap of paper
I can't resist these cute chicks...
The sentiment is from the set and I simply added a little watercolour wash over the top
With the addition of a little silver glimmer (a little really does go a long way with this stuff) and the awesome brick embossing folder I was done!
Aww, I do love this stamp set.
My Tip: It is one of just a few I own in wood mount as there are a lot of little stamps in this set. I knew I would loose them otherwise ;-)
So, that's all from me for tonight :-) I hope you liked this card?
I'll be back tomorrow with a new make. I will be home all day as I have a new washing machine coming, but after the housework (and a ton of washing from just 3 days without), I hope to make a few cards, fingers crossed anyway! Lol!  ;-)
Hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by,
Stampin' Hugs,
