Sale-a Bration papers, Birthday Surprise and the Bow Punch by Stampin' Up! to make a Birthday Card

Happy Friday to you :-)
So, yesterday was another busy day here. I was out all day with another friend (I know! ;-)) then last night was the presentation night at Zoe's ballroom dancing for their medal awards. It was also sadly the last night ever that there will be dancing there :-( After much stress over the last few weeks with the hall Mel (the lovely guy who has been running ballroom lessons for over 50 years) has decided to retire. We are hoping to find somewhere new for Zoe to continue her dancing though.
Anyway, onto today's card. I made this for class this week starting with the Sale-a-Bration papers: Best Year Ever, and adding a sentiment from the Birthday Surprise stamp set and the bow punch to top a gift on this card ;-)
We stamped the sentiment straight onto the paper layer in Coastal Cabana
Added a bow to a pink DSP "parcel" wrapped in Retro Fresh Washi Tape
and dotted around a few sequins left over from Christmas (Frosted Flakes, retired but In colour sequins are still available)
OK, after having a really busy week out the house I've got a ton of things to do at home and in my craft room today!
Back tomorrow with another card,

Stampin' Up's Berry Basket and Bow Punch Quick Make and Making Cards Magazine news

Hello!
I have a super quick post with a really quick and easy project to share with you today as I recently became the very happy owner of the NEW Stampin' Up! Berry Basket Die :-) This die is Big L die which means you can use it with standard cutting pads and cut through fabric, leather, multiple card layers etc, as with all the Sizzix Bigz dies.
I have seen lots of these baskets around in ceramic or metal and used in backgrounds as props and for parties so imagine how thrilled I was to find this in the new Spring/Summer catalogue!
For this basket you need two die cut pieces but it's OK, you can layer the 2 pieces of card and cut them together - you will need one whole sheet of A4 to make this basket.
To make this I die cut Sahara Sand card and used the All Bloom DSP stack for the bows..
It's quite deep. We made this basket at class last week and at least one of my ladies has filled hers already - with pegs! After discussing the merits of pegs when glueing boxes and bows together ;-)
I'm going to spend the day tomorrow making a few videos to show you some of the things I want to share with you including how I assembled this basket.
Bow Punch. Again . I hope you're not bored of it yet, I've got loads more to show you with these bows ;-)
and lastly for this evening I wanted to share this months Making Cards magazine front with you. I'm on the front cover this month (star quality, top centre) and as a bonus this month, and the next two too, there are 32 FREE papers included. That's double the usual amount!!
OK, I'm off to get ready for work.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I'll be back tomorrow with more :-)

Bow Punch Trio teamed with Sale-a-Bration FREE stamps: Simply Wonderful

Hi there!
It's not all that nice here today in the South of the UK but that's OK because now I can stay in my craft room for the rest of the day ;-) I have so many ideas floating around my head at the moment with all the new products available and simply not enough hours in the day to make them!!
Lets see today's card first though. This card is a trio of stacked bows using the very pretty DSP stack "Stacked With Love" it's definitely not just for Valentines! See what I made...
These three bows are all the same sheet of paper, just reversed. And just so you know you can get 4 bows from each sheet from a stack if you punch them out close to each other :-)
This lovely sentiment is from the FREE Sale-a-Bration set "Simply Wonderful" and is available in Wood or Clear mount, stamped here in Crisp Cantaloupe. Yours to choose with a £45 spend.
And a side view to finish. Plenty of depth but no ribbon again today!! I might have to remedy that on todays cards ;-)
OK, that's all from me for today. I hope you liked today's card?
Back tomorrow with more!

Guy Greetings with the Bow Punch by Stampin' Up! plus FREE Tutorial on how to make a Bow-Tie with your Bow Punch :-)

Hi There!
Two posts, One day! It must be New Catalogue and Sale-a-Bration time!!
Today's card uses one of what I think will be the most popular items in the NEW Spring/Summer catalogue, the Bow Punch. But, as I'm sure you know by now I like to mix things up a bit and so I decided to make a Man's card using this nifty little tool ;-)
Take a look at my make, I used the fab new paper stack called Adventure Bound...
and teamed it with Guy Greetings, incidentally this stamp set is available in Wood mount, Clear Mount and Photopolymer too! SU! Have listened and introduced more choices and are now offering selected stamps in a choice of mountings, just so you know ;-)
OK, I loved this sheet of paper as a shirt front but the reverse is actually a grass pattern which is fab but I wanted it to match! To acheive this look I simply adhered a square of the matching check pattern to the rear of the chevron paper with the pattern I wanted showing (the checks) towards me and cut straight down the centre to make a collar.
To make the punched bow into a bow-tie I trimmed away the "v" at the end of the rear section to a straight line and also snipped away the very corners too.
And finally a side view to finish today :-) I was really pleased with how this card turned out and I hope it gives you even more ideas for using this fabulous punch too!!
Just so you know: The Bow Punch, Adventure Bound Paper Stack and Guy Greetings in Photopolymer make a grand total of £45.70, which will give you a FREE Sale-a-Bration product of your choice! All links to purchase are at the end of this post :-)
I'll, of course, be sharing many more projects with all these products over the next few weeks.
Right, it's my night off and I'm going for a long soak in the bath tonight, thanks so much for stopping by today,
