Sweet Sketch Wednesday

Hello,
I have had such a great week this week! I have had to make a couple of cards and so I like to turn to a sketch to make them different, I showed you one yesterday which I made using the Mojo sketch and today's was made with the Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch #88, I flipped it so it would fit the sentiment better...
This spotty DSP is from the Celebrations pack and the hearts one is from Play Date on a base of Pacific Point,

the lovely ribbon is the retired spotty one from the Christmas bundle with the star (?) in the background from Hello Again,

the main sentiment is from the beautiful Engraved Greetings,
I think it makes a great unisex greeting depending on what colours you ink it in, and finished (as always) with some Basic Rhinestones :-D

Well that's today's card, I made a couple of matching gifts to go with it which I will show you on Monday hopefully, as long as they have arrived at their destination ;-)
But I will be back tomorrow with the gift I made for my other new Southern Belle which matches yesterdays Mojo card, iykwim,
Thanks for visiting today,

Happy Anniversary

Hello there,
So did you get snow this morning?? We had a little flurry which bought a smile to our faces but that was all thank goodness ;-)
O.K. onto today's card. I have an Anniversary card today, made it using Love You Much in Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake.
Lovely In Colour DSP flower made with the Boho Blossoms Punch and a gem brad through the centre,
I paper pieced the birds which you may have noticed is my favourite thing to do with these little ones? sentiment is from Cheer and Wishes and punched with the Modern Label Punch,

I stamped the background of the front and once inside with the large heart using Versamark and another little flower inside to finish it off,
and a little arty angle to finish,

So that's todays card, I have a long list of jobs to be getting on with today so I am going to have to dash off, back tomorrow :-D

Subtle Summers

Good Morning,
I have a very busy day today again, a long list of jobs to do! I hope at some point to make a card but I am not holding out too much hope as I have been trying for about 4 days now and my mojo appears to have disappeared completely!! Luckily I have a card I made last week to share with you today ;-) now, I used Sweet Summer (again) but this time I made a card in Subtle colours of the Blue, Pink and Green colourway I used before. So Pear Pizzaz, Pink Pirouette and Marina Mist for this one,

Super soft wide striped grosgrain ribbon with a button from the subtles collection wrapped around it,

sentiment from Basic Phrases punched with Word Window and finished with a Gem Brad,

and an arty angle to finish,

If you would like this (or any other FREE set from the SAB catalogue) then email me with your order :-D
Have a great stampin' day

Roomie Gift

Hello,
When we go to Convention you make a gift for the person we are sharing the hotel room with and I was sharing with my lovely up line and very good friend Jules. I wanted to make something a bit special for her and I decided on a ribbon wreath, I chose to make it in Old Olive and yummy Rich Razzleberry,

This is what it looked like inside the box,

I decorated the outside of the box to match the ribbon colours too ;-)
the only two bits of stampin' were the Very Vintage wheel and the sentiment from Occasional Greetings, so cute. It doesn't show but I sprayed shimmer paint mixed with alcohol to give a great pearly shine to the whole outside of the lid,

Well, that's it for today, I will let you know what she thinks when I get back,
See you again soon,
Hugs,

Another Graduation Card

Hello,
I was asked to make a Graduation card for a girl again this week, the hard part was that it was for the same girl as before! eek! Isn't that the hardest?? making more than 1 card for the same person is just the toughest. Anyway after looking round for some inspiration I found a template to make this Mortar Board card, I have changed it around a bit to suit what stamps I had and used a Rich Razzleberry colour scheme but all the measurements are the same,
Sentiment is from Live Your Dream, I thought it was very appropriate for graduation, glasses are from New Years Celebration which I coloured using a blender pen and Champagne Shimmer paint, I die cut a photo turn to keep the card closed and a simple Congratulations is inside,
and just a side view for you, Isn't the ribbon tassel great? I just unpicked and frayed some spotty Razzleberry Ribbon,

Well that's today's card for you, I have Zack's sports day this afternoon but I will be back tomorrow with Teachers cards and gifts before I go to Zoe's sports day,
Thanks for stopping by,

On a Pedastal for Mandi

Well there has only been the odd shower so far round here, so hopefully it will be the same for Zoe at the zoo too!
I have finally got round to taking a photo (or two) of Mandi's card which I promised to share with you last week. Luckily she had a) kept it and b) doesn't live very far away! I am not sure how I manged not to photograph it, I usually do it as soon as I have finished???
Anyways, here we go, I have again used my fave colour combo of the moment; Cameo Coral, Kraft and Basic Black

Super soft white satin ribbon was wrapped with a gem brad to form the bow,

I used my markers to ink up the stamps and then added a few white gel pen highlights,

Sentiment is from the same set, Papers are the fab Night and Day from the mini- simply gorgeous,

And I did decorate the inside of this one, here is a close up of the bottom section as I obviously had already written inside ;-)

Well, that's today's card, I will be back tomorrow with some more craftiness for you, I am off now to finish the cards for next months class, how organised am I??
Thanks for stopping by, Stampin' Hugs

Vintage Vogue for Sarah

Hello,
What fab weather we are having, please don't tell me this is summer tho! lol!
I am also hoping the sun stays so I can improve the colours of my photos, I took this a couple of weeks ago before I sent it to the lovely Sarah P, {forever known to me as roomie} but as you can probably tell the sun was most definitely hiding this day, tut!
Card base is Chocolate Chip teamed with the fabulously beautiful Bridesmaid papers, Sentiment from Sincere Salutations,
a gorgeous scallop circle flower made using Vellum card stock, stamped with the flower vine in Choc Chip and Close to Cocoa inks before punching,
Inside using the lovely "F" friends stamp, still Vintage Vogue and small strip of Bridesmaid papers again {no waste either!}
and finally Twill Tape tied along the spine which I again stamped with the pretty flowery vine in chocolate chip ink,
That's all for today, I will be back tomorrow with a card which we will be making at this Saturdays class where we will be using some of the gorgeous new products from the new mini catalogue.
If you would like your own copy to drool over then email me your addy and I will pop one in the post to you asap,
Thanks for stopping by,

Medallion Wedding

Hello,
I hope you are all enjoying not having to do the school run! I am certainly enjoying the rest from it!
So, I was asked to make a wedding card for a friend who's sister is getting married soon, now I just love the Medallion (p 60) anyway, but it just sooo perfect for wedding cards.

I used Mellow Moss as a base colour on some pearlescent card from my stash, as this was a similar colour to the bridesmaid dresses. Now unfortunately I didn't have the Mellow Moss stamp pad or even the spot, just the pen and re-inker so I was a bit worried how I would be able to huff all over such a large stamp if I used the pen and then I had an idea! (it's OK I was sitting down, lol) I put a couple of drops of the re-inker (p72 & 73) into a lid from some SU! buttons and added a couple of drops of white shimmer paint (mini p 21), I then used a sponge dauber to apply the paint directly to the stamp, hey presto! the colour you need without the pad, I was trilled with the results it gave me too,
Here is the inside with a slightly more vintage look, ie: not perfect, on purpose I hasten to add! sentiment from a sab set, no longer available,
And here is the arty angle, ribbon is Kraft taffeta (p 87) topped with a yummy Filigree brad (p 85) in the centre of which is a gem brad (p 86)
Well, that's all from me today, don't forget to let me know what you think :-) and if you need a mini catalogue email me sarah-janerae@sky.com and I will pop one in the post to you asap.
I have another busy day ahead, getting the house ready for the builders :-)
Enjoy your day too,
Hugs Sarah-Jane xxx
