Using Celebrate Today by Stampin' Up!

Happy Saturday to you!

We have been out and about today as our kettle broke this morning! What a pain! Anyway, on the up side we have had a lovely tea while we were out so no cooking for me tonight, yay :-)

The card I have for you today is another I made a few weeks back using the Celebrate Today stamps and framelits dies in a Gold, Pistachio and Coral colour way...

 I stamped these sprinkles in Versamark and heat embossed in gold powder then die cut the balloon with the framelits before inking the edges

 This sentiment from the same set was stamped and heat embossed in coral straight onto this gorgeous Gold Printed Vellum, which btw is on offer (along with 7 other things) until Tuesday 11pm (10/03/15) in the Weekly Deals

It's all About GOLD! And New Stampers Club starting in May

Hello,

I have a cute little card to share with you today, I made it to add in with my Stampers Club orders this month using Gold! Gold is just about everywhere at the moment and I'm falling back in love with it- fast!

So, to make this little card I used a base of Brushed Gold Card with a pennant of Gold Spotty Vellum and the stamped Thank-You is from the lovely Simply Celebrate set from the Spring/Summer Catty...

 I attached the Vellum with mini staples

 and this sentiment was stamped using my trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig in Midnight Muse ;-) 

Gee, I'm really going to miss these In Colours when they go in June..

Happy Birthday to my Mum!

Hello there,

Today will be mostly getting ready for this weeks classes, I have still got some cutting to do but I have (mostly) finished designing the cards for this next class. See my FACEBOOK page today for a sneak peek at a couple of the cards...

So, today's card for the blog is the card I made for my Mum this week for her birthday. We got her a lovely DKNY gold (and silver) watch for her birthday gift and I wanted to continue the theme with a gold card and came up with this. I started with some of the very pretty Watercolour Wonder DSP and sewed a same sized piece of Gold Spotty Vellum onto it, 

 I then added some Banners which I die cut with the new framelits from the Spring/Summer catalogue '14 again using the Watercolour Wonder paper; edged with a bit of gold ink using a sponge and then sewing across the top edge to secure to the card

 This sentiment is from Chalk Talk and I stamped it using Versamark and heat embossed it with Gold Powder before die cutting out. Some sequins and gold and (free) coral bakers twine decorate underneath.

 Inside the card I just added a simple white layer of card which I ran through the Gold ink pad before adhering.

 Well, Mum seemed happy with her card and presents and I have seen her wearing the watch every day since then so I would say it was a success! I hope you liked the card too and I want to say thank you for visiting today :-))))
