Eclipse Card for a 21st Birthday using Mixed Drinks

Hello there!
Today I want to share with you the card I made when my eldest turned 21 recently :-) How old do feel??? Lol! To tell you a (not very funny) story he kindly pointed out how much younger Emma Bunton looked on TV the other day considering she is the same age as me! Erm, yes, thanks for that, son... Time to trade that kid in I think... ;-)
Anyway, I wanted to do an Eclipse card and have his name and age on it so I made this card using the Mixed Drinks stamps....
I started by stamping the beer and bubbles and I coloured in the froth too before die cutting his name and age.
I layered the white card, flat onto navy card before adding the popped up sections with foam strips, so quick!
I needed a small-ish gift box so I used one of the silver mini gable boxes and decorated it to match the card.
  Adding Gold Faceted Gems...
...as well as some cute, corduroy ribbon to secure the box closed (and make it take a bit longer to open ;-))
And that's it, my biggest baby is 21! And what a lovely young man he has grown to be (apart from when he's insulting me, of course, lol!) Seriously though, we are super proud of him :-)
Well, that's it from me for today, I'll be back tomorrow with another card for a new challenge with Inspire. Create. I do hope you'll join me here?

18th Birthday Card for a Girl using Large Letter Framelits and Mixed Drinks (of course!)

Hello there,
I'm taking a little break on here from the Christmas cards- just for today - with a card I made for my dear friends daughter who turned 18 a few weeks ago. I used my large letter framelits to die cut "Kiera" from copper foil sheets and teamed it with the Mixed Drinks stamps to make this card....
Of course I added a touch of Wink of Stella to the cocktail ;-)
And I used the matching Number of Years framelits inside
('cause you've gotta have "18" somewhere, right?)
Love how the copper foil works so well with Flirty Flamingo.
Thanks so much for looking today, back soon with more!

Day Four Of Four Days using Mixed Drinks by Stampin' Up! - Champagne Celebration Card

Hello!
And welcome to day four, the final day in this mini series using Mixed Drinks.
I have a cool and classy card today using the champagne glasses from the set to make a perfect celebration card, take a look...
I used Peekaboo Peach for the "Champagne" stamped off once to create this paler effect, both in the glasses and for the bubbles.
I love the extra bang that the ombré effect paper gives peeking out from the sides of this CAS card.
So, I do hope you have enjoyed the last few days of cards and if you'd like to see any or all of the cards again please click HERE :-)

Day Three Of Four Days using Mixed Drinks by Stampin' Up! - Cocktails Anyone?

Hi there,
and welcome to day three of this mini series using Mixed Drinks
Today I am playing with cocktails!! I do love a nice cocktail - but don't we all?? ;-)
I used just one glass but there are so many variations to this fun set with all the accessories, all matted onto more DSP form the Serene Scenery pad...
And I popped the images up on dimensionals to a bit of something extra, I love the difference a dimensional can make to a card!
OK, so that's day three done, hope you have enjoyed it and I'll be back tomorrow with more.
