Make a Pine Cone with the Spiral Flower Die. Part of the 12 Weeks of Crafty Christmas Makes Series - Week 11.

Hello and welcome to this weeks 12 Weeks of Crafty Christmas tutorial.
This week I want to share with you how I made a Pine Cone using my Stampin' Up! Spiral Flower Die.
I have had this idea since the first week of this series and only just had a chance to get it made!
Here's the trio of items I decorated with the pine cones..

 Here's some close up's of the card.
 I mentioned in the video you need to add a double layer of card inside to balance out the pine cone but then it stands perfectly.

On top of a tiny treat box...

 and as a 3d item for decorating :-)

Spiral Flower Die for an 80th Birthday and Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine news

Hello,

Well, I am finally starting to feel a bit better, still very tired but definitely better ;-) I hope that's me done for this winter??? lol!

So, a few weeks ago I was asked to make a card for a friends Mum's 80th birthday and as I had been playing with the spiral flower die that day --- which reminds me!! I haven't shared my "roomie gift" from Convention with you yet!! Doh! OK. Soon, I promise!! --- I went with it to make this card...

 I added Vanilla, Wisteria Wonder and Smoky Slate rolled flowers to a doily

 This is a v-e-r-y deep card! 

TOP TIP: To make the centre flower the right height I added the flowers around the outer edge first to the doily with a hot glue gun (I also used it to glue the actual flowers together) then added a small bed of scrunched up tissue paper glued down then topped it with a final flower

A simple computer generated sentiment

 And a double layered insert balances out the weight on the front

 Before I go have you seen this months edition of Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine?? There's so many fantastic projects in there this month (as usual!). I so want to have a  go at making that paper tree on the front cover!

Travelling Gifts for on the way to Stampin' Up! Convention in Brussels 2014

Good morning!

Today I'm going to have a day in my craft room designing for my Frame Class in December. I'm excited to play with the Under the Tree DSP and make it into a festive 3d frame. I promised the ladies plenty of ideas to CASE when they come so I have a lot to do!

BTW: I'll be updating you with my progress on Instagram and Facebook if you want to follow me and find out what I'm up to as the day goes on ;-)

I'm going to skip a day today about Brussels (kinda) and share with you the gifts I made for the three ladies I travelled with on the Eurostar. I wanted to make a little gift pack of things we might need (and some things we might just want of course) during our time away and came up with these..

 Inside were wet wipes, hand sanitiser, tissues, gum, mints, hand cream, chocolate plus

this cute nail file I found! I think that was all??

I made these little tags with the Tag Topper Punch and the Under the Tree DSP. This paper is perfect for tags as it's more like card and it's that yummy Kraft colour too ;-)

I used the Spiral Flower Die to make the flower and sat it on a punched Pansy as they look a little bare sat on their own. The sentiment is from Chalk Talk and was stamped in Versamark then heat embossed with white embossing powder

And I topped the bag with a lovely Island Indigo chevron ribbon bow. 

Yep, I do love my bows ;-)

 All together again to finish

SU! Spiral Flower Die Wedding Card and Weekly Deal update and recommendations ;-)

Hello there,
I'm here tonight with a little wedding card for you. The colours were requested to match the happy couples wedding day colours and so I made this card using the Spiral flower die - a favourite of mine if you hadn't noticed- see my left hand side bar for a video on making shabby chic style version with this die - in a Pacific Point and So Saffron colour way...

I used both colours and doubled layered the flowers, you need a die cutting machine to use this die, handy then that there is a fab BIG SHOT promotion this month too ;-)

Some sequins, itty bitty punched flowers (retired now, sadly) and a few rhinestones decorate between the spiral flowers

Sentiment was printed in a matching blue ;-)

The inside was kept pretty clear, simply layered with the blue, as lots of people had to sign this card

and I decorated an envelope box to send the card in too
