Stampin' Up's Guy Greetings to make a Nautical Card for Class.

Hi there,
I've been out again today with my friend in Salisbury, Laura. We had a much over due, fun day out catching up :-)
So, I'm back now with another new card we made at class last week. You may recognise this as it was based (a lot) on THIS card I shared the other day using the Guy Greetings stamp set. I added some Birthday Bash DSP and made this standard C6 size card for class.
This sentiment is from Guy Greetings. I have used this set quite a lot already!
I chose this DSP sheet as it reminded me of water then added the stamped and punched anchor, after inking the edges with a Navy marker, using dimensionals.
Then added some bakers twine around the bottom.
Last look at this card :-)
OK, so I have loads to still share with you but I'm currently transitioning between computers and that's great fun (not!). So, tomorrow will be mostly spent moving photos over and trying to get word to work on the new laptop! Lol!
Thanks for looking today,
Stampin' hugs,

TMT: Secure Your Sequins on a String

Hello!
I know, I'm really late today with this weeks Two Minute Tuesday Video! Just slipping in at 11.45 ;-)  I have been out all day and working tonight but I managed to sweet talk my hubby to add the titles to this tonight ;-)
This weeks video shares how to keep your projects looking perfect even after posting and being fiddled with by the recipients ;-) Well, at least the sequins will be anyway!
OK, these thinlits treat bags are the ones I made for Josh's birthday table recently and I added a string of Bermuda Bay sequins to the knot at the front, I shared these with you on here recently...

So here is this weeks top tips video for you.
I hope this helps with someone's sequins and if you have anything else you would like me to share please, just drop me a line :-)
Thanks for stopping by today!

Nautical Card using Guy Greetings from Stampin' Up!

Good Morning,
Ha! I so thought I had published this this morning before I went out!! Ooopsie. Then I have been delayed many times this afternoon too so Good Evening to you now, lol ;-)
OK, so today's post shares a card I did a couple of sneak peeks of on Instagram recently. Mainly because I faffed about so much trying to get a design that worked but also because once I had decided on a layout everything that could go wrong, did! I actually made this card 6 times plus two square versions that I couldn't get to work with the eyelets and twine!!!! So don't ever worry when you take forever to decide or make a card, ha ha ha ;-)
All for this pretty CAS card..
This is about the only nautical stamp I had when a friend asked me to make something "baot-y" for their Son-in-Law
These eyelets are long ago retired but they reminded me of port holes.
And as I was going for a classic Navy, White and Red colour scheme I wanted some bakers twine through them too.
 Inside was kept simple
And I added a few Sugar Dots from my stash to finish
OK, I'm signing off now to make sure this post actually gets published and I'm spending the evening making a few cards that have been requested by hubby amongst others ;-)
I'll be back tomorrow but thanks for looking today,

Stampin' Up's Tea Lace Doily and Sale-a-Bration 2015 to the max!

Hello!
I hope you enjoyed watching  YESTERDAYS VIDEO? And please, don't forget to share with me if you have a go at making a diagonal gap card! #
I have another card from class to share with you today with a bit of Heat Embossing but much more straight forward than yesterdays card ;-) I used the Sale-a-Bration stamps Simply Wonderful with the Best Year Ever DSP and Accessory Pack too. It's a mini SaB party on this card!
This paper reminds me of beach huts what do you think...

I heat embossed in silver the sentiment (making this a great as a wedding card perhaps?) onto white card then adhering this die cut circle over the centre of the Tea Lace Doily. This then gives you a fab way to adhere the doily without the headache of hiding the glue!
 After adding the doily to the DSP I stapled the ribbon onto the doily edge and tied a bow. This is a really secure way of adding single bows to a card, {also shown in yesterdays video, FYI ;-)}
I punched silver glimmer paper hearts using the heart border punch and added these across the bottom edge for some extra bling.
and one last look to finish today :-) I was really happy with this card; it's quick, cute and easy!
OK, That's me for today.
I'll be back tomorrow with more :-)
Thanks for looking!
