A New Challenge Blog Starts Today!

Hello,
I have my first card today as part of the Simply Stampin' Design Team.
I am very proud to be a part of this brand new challenge blog. There will be weekly challenges using mainly Stampin' Up! products and we would love it if you would come along and join in the fun, you don't have to use all SU! but something on your card/ scrapbook/3d item should be SU! There will be prizes along the way too!
So back to the card, this first weeks challenge is a sketch to follow, my favourite sort of challenge ;-)
Here is the sketch
and here is my take on it, I have followed the sketch almost to the letter as I just think it is perfect as it is.
I have used loads of new products on this card although the background was stamped with an old favourite "Simply Said" using Versamark,
Springtime Vintage Papers (you will be seeing lots of these papers!) used here. I die cut the smallest butterfly from the SU! exclusive Beautiful Butterflies Die from Vellum Card stock (twice) then embossed them with Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, another SU! exclusive,
as you can see I have had the sewing machine out of late, I have been wanting to try this for a while and am now on a roll with it! This ribbon is also new, it is called seam binding in the catty and it is beautifully lightweight and ties perfectly, it is also in 4 gorgeous colours too, see it in the Mini HERE on page 17,
The button is from the "Springtime Vintage Big Designer Buttons" also on page 17 of the mini, Tiny Tags stamp set used with the matching punch and tied to the button with Linen Thread,
And finally a bit more sewing on the inside too,
I hope you like today's card and I look forward to visiting your blog to see what you make using this sketch,
Thanks for stopping by today,
Stampin' Hugs,

PS How do you take such gorgeous photographs of your cards? They pop off the page!
