Tabs For Everything and Large Numbers Framelits for a Teen

Hey! Look at all this blogging. Two days in a row! Get me ;-) Lol!
Today I have a cute ahem, cool card for a new teenager. I've used the Tabs for Everything for the background and as all teens/kids want to see they've hit the next big number so '13' has pride of place...
A little tale about numbers from my home... Once upon a time, when he was much younger, I spent many an hour making Josh a birthday card (our biggest boy.) Unfortunately I neglected to add his special, new number (no space or it didn't fit in my design or something.) So, of course, it was the first thing he said when he opened said card. Lesson learned, lol!

So having told you that, I must also tell you that these number dies are retiring (eek) and I think they are an essential for any significant birthday/anniversary and not just for those pesky kids, ha ha ha...
Add to a background made with Tabs for Everything in Lemon-Lime Twist and Navy - a classic combo! And you're good to go!
So, do your friends and family love a number too?
Thanks so much for looking today, I'll be back soon with another make :-)

21st Birthday Rainbow Watercoloured Card using Stampin' Up! Supplies.

Hello there,
Today's card is one I made for my eldest son's girlfriends birthday last week :-)
I wanted to make something a bit wow and that could be kept if she wanted to and this is what I came up with....
I used some of the new iridescent sequins which are nice and little, so perfect for accenting these Large Letter and Number of Years Framelits.
I loved this ombre ribbon* when it included in the accessory kit from the Spring/Summer catalogue so I'm thrilled that you can now purchase a whole reel!
*Also available in Lemon Lime Twist and Island Indigo
Look how perfect those sequins blend whilst adding sparkle!
Inside I used this sentiment from the new Happiest of Days stamp set (only £16.00 in clear!!)
To make this watercoloured rainbow I taped a piece of watercolour paper 21cm wide x 8cm high to spare card. Spritz with water then painted with each colour ink, overlapping the colours slightly.
I did use a lot of ink pads for this card to make the rainbow. If you don't have quite so many ink pads you could also use re-inkers or even just use less colours and make wider bands of colour, overlapping more.
In order, I used: Pool Party, Mint Macaron (retired, you could use Pear Pizzazz instead), So Saffron, Peekaboo Peach, Pink Pirouette, Sweet Sugarplum and Berry Burst!
TIP: On this height of paper you can easily stagger the letters (and numbers) to make sure you get the best blended colours for your card.
Finally, I went over each letter using the ever useful clear Wink of Stella!
I was really please with this card, I hope you have enjoyed it too?

Number Of Years and Barnyard Babies for a First Birthday Card!

Hello there,
Today is our lovely grandson, Jackson's first birthday! And today's card is the one I made for him :-)
I was super organised with making this card and consequently one of the stamp sets; Barnyard Babies is now retired :-( Hopefully you have this fun set but if not you should check out the very adorable "A Little Wild*" set! My set of this is here now so I'll be sharing some makes with that soon too ;-)
*available as a bundle
So, let's take a closer look at this card, shall we?
I love how the stitched circles just add a little something extra to the layers.
Number of Years is a favourite of many, for very good reason.
TIP: As this is a photopolymer stamp set you can bend the "Look Who's Turning" sentiment to fit a smaller circle, like I did here!
I added the images with dimensionals.
And one final photo to finish today.
Right, this post has taken about 3 hours longer to finish than it should have as my computer wanted to update and then I couldn't log in, blah de blah! What a wind up! lol. So now I'm super behind and still need to make a million things! I hope you enjoyed todays card and get a chance to be creative yourself today!

18th Birthday Card for a Girl using Large Letter Framelits and Mixed Drinks (of course!)

Hello there,
I'm taking a little break on here from the Christmas cards- just for today - with a card I made for my dear friends daughter who turned 18 a few weeks ago. I used my large letter framelits to die cut "Kiera" from copper foil sheets and teamed it with the Mixed Drinks stamps to make this card....
Of course I added a touch of Wink of Stella to the cocktail ;-)
And I used the matching Number of Years framelits inside
('cause you've gotta have "18" somewhere, right?)
Love how the copper foil works so well with Flirty Flamingo.
Thanks so much for looking today, back soon with more!
