Four Days of Cards using Boys Will Be Boys by Stampin' Up! Day Four.

Hello!
and welcome to day four and the last day in this mini series! I hope you have enjoyed the cards I have shared so far?
So, lets see the last card I made with the Boys Will Be Boys stamp set.
I did intend to colour this fella in with more colours but I started with this cool, smoky slate grey and just loved it so much I ended up sticking with the monochrome look....
As with the previous couple of cards I made using this set I stamped with staz on onto thick white card and coloured the image in using an aqua painter.
I have had a request today for a video on how I do this so watch this space ;-)

The bottom of the card is stamped using the Dotty Angles stamps, again in Smoky Slate.
This sentiment is from the set too.
And a top view, more Perfect Accents finish this card off perfectly.
So, I hope you have enjoyed this mini series? I have loved making these cute cards using the Boys Will Be Boys stamps this week! I'm so glad I purchased them ;-)
Thanks so much for stopping by today, have a fab Saturday, we are off out the cinema to see Jurassic World :-)

Four Days of Cards using Boys Will Be Boys by Stampin' Up! Day Three.

Hi there,
And welcome to day three of this mini series :-)
So, as I mentioned the other day I had a bad case of crafters block before I started playing with this brilliant stamp set! Yes, I'm crediting this set for lifting my moment of  the block.
I am sharing these cards with you in the order that I made them and so here you can see, as the block lifted, I moved away from the sketch I started with and began to play with the layout as well as the stamps! I wanted to used these building blocks and decided to go with a more bold, but still watercoloured look and came up with this card...
I used the Lots of Labels Framelits to cut out my already coloured image and then added a same size Night of Navy label cut in half to frame the top and bottom and give it a  little pop.
I love this sentiment and I thought it would also be a good 'inside the card' sentiment! What do you think?
No perfect accents today ;-) But the image was popped on dimensionals and I added bakers twine instead.
And one more picture to finish today. So, this was my third favourite card in this mini series which means I made my favourite card last and have saved it share with you tomorrow! I know, it feels wrong to pick favorites when you like them all!
So, it looks like you'll have to come back again tomorrow, right?
Thanks for looking today and be sure to let me know which card you have liked the best so far!

Four Days of Cards using Boys Will Be Boys by Stampin' Up! Day Two.

Hello!
And welcome to day two of this mini series.
As you know I am showcasing this fab stamp set Boys will be Boys. This was the second card I made with this set and you'll notice it uses the same sketch design as yesterday's card.  I was playing around with the lego bricks when I thought to myself - lots of girls like Lego too! And so this card came about...
I stamped the bricks using Staz On and watercoloured them using the aqua painter again. You can totally do this on this new Thick White Card, just be sparing with the water and don't over work it- but it is fine, in fact, it's great! I used Mint Macaron, Pool Party and (retired colour) Crisp Cantaloupe, I just can't put this colour away yet ;-) Aren't they lovely together? You could try using a weak solution of Calypso Coral if you don't have cantaloupe.
I added shadows with Sahara Sand so they didn't look like they were floating around, 'cause we all know lego bricks never float, those suckers always sink right to the floor - exactly where you stand!
More Perfect Accents, I told you I use them a lot (in this video!)
OK, so this is my second favourite card of this series and we are only on day two!
Hmm, I can't wait to share the other two cards with you!
So, be sure to stop by tomorrow to see Day Three's card!
Thanks for looking today :-)
