Cute Mermaid with Blue Hair from Magical Day!

Hello there from a warm but now rainy Southampton! Although I must point out that I started writing this blog post when it was hot and sunny - last weekend *-* Time just seems to have run away with me this last week :-)
So, I've another Mermaid from the Magical Day stamp set (which I still call Myths and Magic. Every. Single. Time.) card for you today. I love how cute her hair looks in Pool Party blue...
I used my blends to colour her in, which will hopefully be available again to purchase very soon!
This set is leaving us at the end of May (maybe even sooner though) which I'm so sad about :-(
But the tag she sits on is from the Cake Soiree dies which are staying - albeit not with the 10% bundle saving, so if you have your eye on that set might be worth another look...
and finally the sentiment is from the (also soon to be retiring) Happiest of Days stamp set.
How cute is that pink tinsel ribbon?
OK, that's it from me, I have a lot of fun cards to share with you so I'll try my hardest to get some posts up on here this week. I hope you have a chance to craft this week, too...

Using Stampin' Up's Confetti Celebration for a Balloon Card

Hello there,
Today's card started out as a sketch, something I often do when I need a place to start making a card. Yes, we all get the dreaded "crafter's block" otherwise known as lack of mojo ;-)
As you can see my mojo was definitely kick-started by the sketch and this is the card I made, even if it did only barely resemble the sketch at the end ;-)
This "hooray" is from the Confetti Celebrations stamp set and I used the Balloon Framelits dies to cut this out.
The DSP is the (now retired) pad It's My Party.
 And of course, sequins!
OK, so I have been v-e-r-y busy in the craft room this last couple of days so I have a lot to share over the next few days! What is your favourite item in the new catalogue? Let me know in the comments....
Happy Stampin'

Baby Boy Shaker Card using Stampin' Up's Baby's First Framelits and the new Foam Strips!

Hello there,
Today I have the baby boy shaker card that actually inspired Saturday's video! You can see that HERE if you missed it :-)
It all started when the lovely couple over the road had a baby boy and I decided I just *had to* make a shaker card using the fab-u-lous new foam strips that are coming soon to make it, take a look...
This gorgeous chevron ribbon is retired but I still have just a little bit left ;-)
These wooden words (called 'Expressions Natural Elements') are retiring at the end of the month too :-(
 Bootie shakers - Lol!!
 and baby vest shaker
And I managed to fit it into a standard envelope too !
Top view. I was really, really happy with how this card turned out!
Here it is with the wrapped gift we gave to them.
You might recognise it from #washiwednesday last week ;-)
Well, I hope you liked todays card and remember to check out my Top Tips video for making any shaker card using these Foam Strips - and you will be able to order them in a little over a week from now, eep! :-)
Please, please order your favourites from the Retiring List as this is the last week ever that you can get your supplies that are on there! And if you use the code below, you'll get a pressie from me in June too! Bonus!
Thanks for looking today, Stampin' Hugs,

7 Days of All Day Christmas Class Cards. Day 6: Heart and Home Window with Home for Christmas DSP Santa

Hi there,
And welcome to the penultimate post in this 7 days series of cards. I really hope you have enjoyed seeing what we made at my All Day Class over last week as much as we did making them!
Today's cards are a more modern card using the Hearth and Home Framelits - which are actually... window frames ;-) but they also have the dual use of being a hearth too, when teamed with the Festive Fireplace stamps. *Ahem* I only just realised that as I don't have that stamp set! Ooopsie!
Anyway, for this card I used the snowy pool party paper from the "Home For Christmas" DSP pack for the background and cut the santas from another sheet out to go on top. As the background of the santas paper also has this snowy effect they blend really well on this paper, take a look....
TIP: Spend a little time positioning Santa (glue him down) and the window (use dimensionals) before sticking them down so Santa has his full face in one of the window squares and not with the bar over his face.
Here's the silver version with those brilliant Christmas Greetings Thinlits (again)...
...And a more non-traditional black glimmer version! Proving, it's not just for Halloween ;-)
Remember, these thinlits are available as a bundle with their matching stamps (shown here) giving you a fab 15% off!
  Which version do you prefer?
And a top view to finish today.
Well, that's all from me for today. I'm having a much anticipated day out today so I'll pop back and share the products needed for today's and yesterdays cards later this evening (Monday pm).
Tomorrow is the last day for this series and I have also made little tips video for you which hopefully will help with not only your cardmaking but your Gift Wrapping too for this festive season and beyond! So, don't forget to pop back then,
but 'till tomorrow
