Happy Fathers Day and a Simple Boys Card

Hello
First of all Happy Fathers Day to all you men out there!
Hows your weekend going? We are having a very quiet day as hubby is back in hospital with his kidney stones! and for Fathers Day too, boo :-( We are re-scheduling it 'till next Sunday I think!
But other things keep going while he is away, the walls are almost finished on the extension so that's one good thing ;-)
I have been keeping busy whilst I am here on my own as I have 6 birthdays next month, all done and ready but I will have to show you as they come round as I know a few of the people read this blog!
I have a really simple card I made for Josh to take to his friends 13th birthday (ooo, teenage boys, not the easiest to make for, but I think this worked out O.K.) last weekend, it uses Sweet Pea dsp (only available 'till the end Sept so better get some quick!)
Name stamped with Schoolbook Serif alphabet, punched stars (what would I do without this punch for male cards?) Sentiment from A Bit of Birthday Cheer and a couple of Earth Elements buttons to finish it off,

Arty Angle, I layered the main sentiment and a couple of the stars too and roughed up a few of the layers too,
Sorry for the short post, I hope to be back tomorrow but off to hospital to visit the patient now, Thanks for stopping by and Stampin' hugs to you all,

mini pop up is made using a scalloped square (IB&C p,89) of punched paper,
"4 U" and crown are from Tiny Tags (mini p,15), White gel pen ( IB&C p,91) spotted down the scalloped border (IB&C p,89),

Anyone for Anya? sketch

Hello everyone!
So sorry I am late with this post I made this card last night and was going to post first thing, well, straight after I had been to do the weekly shop as we didn't have a thing in!... but my friend popped in just for a little while and ended up staying most of today (shhh!) I mean I was very busy with housework *ahem* all day ;0)
Anyway I used this sketch from the brill challenge blog Anyone for Anya? and I have to say I loved it too! I think it's a keeper,

Right so this is the card I made using the sketch and the lovely Miss Anya stamps, I coloured her in ages ago with these papers in mind but I have only just got round to using her,

Papers are Spiced Cider which in the photo look a bit pale but IRL they are Really Rust and Old Olive-a lovely combo

Ribbon is Kraft coloured Taffeta and button is from the Earth Elements pack, dew drop from stash, Image coloured with pro-markers,

Scraps used up on the inside,

And finally a dimensional shot ;0)
I hope you likey,
Laters S.J. xxx

Elaines card

Hello folks,
Well this is the first of a few scheduled posts :0) as you may know I am on Holiday in Spain for a few weeks, but I will try to pop on the ole 'puter whilst I'm away -when I'm not at the beach that is (which will be lots hopefully)

This card was made using instructions to be found on the lovely and talented Steph's blog. I have used a Miss Anya and coloured her with pro markers to match the very exotic looking Haiku papers (available in my share go here for details) on a So Saffron base

matching earth elements buttons tied with linen thread.

Here it is from the side to see the dimension :0)
Well, that's it for today and I will be back in a couple of days with another card, Look forward to seeing you then ;0)

Hugs, Sarah-Jane xx

Name cut with Quick cuts dies using Bashful blue dsp, Linen thread and buttons both SU!
Well, I hope you have a god weekend, I hope to be back later with a card for this little boys twin sister!

More cards for men!!

Hello Folks,

Sorry it's a bit late today but I do have another mans card to show you! I would like to point out that the man this is for, is the partner of my friend and Alan, who I made 3 cards for last week, is her dad, consequently they all had to be different !!!!!! aaarrrggghhh!!!!!!!! lol.

Well I managed to make this cross over card for him using Summer Picnic papers, Tab punch, Oval All stamps and co-ordinating punches, Happy Birthday greeting from the Occasional Greetings Set, Earth Elements button with a little bit of Linen Thread and Old Olive 5/8" grosgrain Ribbon. All Stampin' Up and available through moi!

This is the inside sheet shown out of the wrap. Would anyone would like to know how I make these cards ? (my way, not necessarily the right way !!) Well, if enough of you leave a comment under this post I will do a little tutorial for you :)

Going to the cinema with kiddies tomorrow morning so I will try to schedule a post for then.

Hugs and hope you are all having a lovely week, Sarah-Jane xx
